That one drives me crazy.

Depends how dangerous you drive, and what you're driving. I don't ride my motorcycle anymore because I think it's far more dangerous than skydiving. The risk:reward of riding it sucks, one small move and its game over. I feel too vulnerable and too close to the ground. I am also much more dependent on how OTHER people act on the road, that drives me crazy.

There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence. (tbrown)

Usually an abbreviated way of saying....
"this isn't a real good idea, I don't have the power to stop you, and I've had too many long conversations trying to convince someone not to do something that they did anyway, so...."

This is the paradox of skydiving. We do something very dangerous, expose ourselves to a totally unnecesary risk, and then spend our time trying to make it safer.
