OK, MAGAts, which is it?

This?

Florida advances DeSantis-backed ban on making white people feel 'discomfort' or 'guilt' from past racism

Or this?

trump-2024.png

Seems to me the former is the definition of "sensitive snowflakes".

Don't you get it?

It's Fuck YOUR Feelings.

As in the people opposed to Trump.

For the MAGA Moron crew, THEIR feelings are of utmost importance.
That's why CRT needs to be banned.
That's why Colin Kapernick needs to be punished.
That's why we need 'English Only' rules.
That's why the Herman Cain Awards need to be banished.

All those things 'hurt the feelings' of the Trumpettes.

So they have to stop.
If that hurts YOUR feelings, too fucking bad.

It only seems fair that us white male soldiers bear the brunt of combat, given we are the beneficiaries of a racist, misogynistic patriarchy.

Brent, complete respect to your experience in actual combat, but in Vietnam it seems from the available data that blacks suffered disproportionally. Is your information different?

"Vietnam War casualties were disproportionality suffered by soldiers from minority groups"(Appy 1993, Guzman 1969) and lower socioeconomic status backgrounds (Foust & Botts 1991; Olsen & Roberts 1996).

But, they were also the majority in combat arms at the time - 1) due to the lack of Collège deferment opportunities (schools in black neighborhoods were not the epicenter of college prep),  2) the option back then of jail/prison or the military, and, 3) seeing it as an option to get out of the lower class neighborhoods (Recruiters making empty promises).

That was all before Nixon ended the draft.  In the all volunteer force, the “tip of the spear” guys are overwhelmingly white. Some of the reasons for this disparity are barriers to entry such as: not having a criminal record, being able to swim, and having to pass a land navigation course.

Blacks in the US military are in higher numbers than in the US population.  You had to search around to find a group (special forces) in which they are under represented.   I wonder why you didn't just search for black military officers, where you could show that they are truly under represented.

Because the disparity is much more profound in high level combat arms. (Both officers and enlisted)

In active duty deaths since 1980 (voluntary service, i.e. post-draft), blacks died at rate that is 42% higher than their population representation in the US; about the same as their representation in the military.

You did notice we were talking about Vietnam, right?

As to all the hoo haah about VOLAR; it's really quite simple. They're smarter than us. Same reason there's not much diversity in skydiving. They think whites are fucking retarded for jumping out of planes.

We are.  So what?

FWIW, the military now uses parachute qualification less as a means to engage in combat and more as a measure of who has the nerve to function in combat or who is dumb enough to go into combat, depending on who you ask.

The Brits used BASE jumping, since they found that people who were willing to jump out of airplanes often would freeze from fixed objects.
