Stinking Pharma Cash Corrupting Dems

Recommended Posts

Democrats have made giving government the power to negotiate drug prices a central campaign theme for decades. With the power to make it happen, they may fall short yet again.

Conservative Democratic Reps. Scott Peters (Calif.) and Kurt Schrader (Ore.) have been defending their huge hauls of campaign cash from the pharmaceutical industry since announcing their opposition to House Democrats’ wildly popular plan to reduce drug prices. Meanwhile, another Democratic lawmaker, Rep. Kathleen Rice (N.Y.), has completely flipped her reasoning for why she voted against the measure.

Cash, lobbying and the pharma industry have caused democrats to sell out their cause. Perhaps they should be kicked out of the party but President Biden has done nothing.

Meanwhile poor Americans debate food or medicine every month. While the Supreme Court Strikes Down Overall Political Donation Cap and "The proliferation of controversial political advertisements in the past decade isn't a coincidence. It's a direct result of the Supreme Court's 2010 Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission ruling, which helped pump billions of dollars into politics from outside sources that are supposed to be untethered from candidates or political parties."

Hi Phil,

Re:  Kurt Schrader

I know a little about him since his district is just down the road.

His biggest campaign contributors have been Big Pharma.

Also, some of his other big contributors have announced that they will no longer support him.

He is sort of like our local Joe Manchin.

I expect that he will see some effort to oust him in the Spring.
