Woke is a Joke

Men's nonbinary shirts and women's nonbinary shirts?  It was cute.

(Useless note - for the last World Team I was on, all the swag I got was women's.  Sized right, somehow, but women's - which was odd since all the men's shirts we got from local shops were two sizes too small.  Never knew women had the zipper pull on the opposite side.)

As I understand it, the tradition of women's clothing being 'backwards' for right-handed people - buttons and now zippers - was based on the expectation that proper ladies were dressed by the servants.

It seems that in upper class society the help was equally distributed between the men and women, but perhaps it harkens back to the era where corsets were popular and getting dressed for women was a near-death experience.

Trying to parse out the norms of dress of various societies on the basis of sex can be a bit tough.  Which are due to physiology and which are due to psychology can blur.  In general, having a fly on trousers makes urination simpler for men, but has less benefit for women.  Perhaps a skirt has a similar benefit for women, and menstruation and breastfeeding aren't a major consideration for men.

The hormones that show up at puberty are significantly different, and one overlooks the psychological impact of one or the other at their own peril.  The ramifications of pregnancy differ greatly between males and females (men rarely die in childbirth, for example), and this reality factors into various social norms.

In some societies women are removed from the equation as much as possible on the tacit assumption that virile males want to fuck anything that moves, and anything stimulating will set them off.  Thus you have the chador, the buibui and such so that any hint of femininity is kept entirely under wraps.

In any event, the cut of clothing to accompany the anatomical differences between the sexes makes some sense, if only to address breasts, shoulder to pelvis ratio and so forth.

Some of the most hetero females I have ever met have dressed like lumberjacks and they guys I've known to wear kilts were strictly breeders, so I don't see that attire has much impact in and of itself.

In the circles in which I travel, nobody really cares all that much (as far as I can tell).

The real question here is "did you look good in them?" :)

The cash-processing company I worked for in my 20's gave us branded polo-shirts as our uniform. I've always had a small frame, so the men's shirts were a flappy mess of wasted fabric on me. One of the women who ran a nearby machine gave me one of hers to try, fit me perfectly, traded out my regular ones and looked way more professional/neat instantly.

Only thing to get used to was the button at the collar being the opposite to what I previously had.

The reason Putin has given for his heroic efforts in Ukraine is to save them from Nazism.

Putin is thus the world's most dedicated Antifa.

Bravo!

He also is very upset about woke ideology and supposed cancel culture........

Putin IS cancel culture.

Actually you got that backwards.  Ukraine is the New World Order, see, and per Michael Flynn, Putin's invasion is stopping Bill Gates' New World Order in its tracks, thus derailing the liberal cancel culture/socialism/new world order/tolerance agenda.  Putin is making the world safe against cancel culture.  Per the right.

Kewl.

You stick with Putin and his stated Antifa agendum.

I'm with Zelenskyy.

No, you and Putin are much closer than you think.

"President Vladimir V. Putin is also fighting cultural battles.

In a speech on Friday from the nondescript, beige-walled office in which he has been conducting much of his public business this month, Mr. Putin made no mention of Ukraine. Instead, he expanded upon a personal obsession: “cancel culture.”

...Mr. Putin’s main audience when railing against Western “cancel culture” is domestic, with the Kremlin intent on feeding the grievances against the West upon which Mr. Putin draws much of his support....a message that finds sympathy around the world — including among American right-wing commentators like Fox News’s Tucker Carlson, whose monologues are often shown on Russian state television."

Gee, I don't recall imprisoning much of anyone who disagrees with me.  I'd say that pretty much pins the meter for 'cancel culture.'

If you can't tell the difference then, well, you can't tell the difference.

As usual, the only argument in favor of Woke ideology is definitive classic fallacy.

Like Putin, the Woke portray anyone with whom they disagree as 'fascists.'  Thus, referencing Godwin is singularly ironic.

"--it's just science." Godwin's science credentials are even fewer than mine. Maybe I should use that tagline at the end of my posts.

Ohhhh..... gonna touch someone's nerves with that. I think that theory revolves around the fact that the only people who even use the term "woke" use it as a pejorative. Not that I would call anyone a "fuckhead", that would be a potential PA. No, I'm not gonna ask who fits that pair of shoes. Not me, not gonna go there. Wouldn't be prudent.

After spending time in Socialist Workers' Paradises half a century ago, Communism vied for the lead amongst my least favorite religions.  Its modern Woke variant has reinforced my loathing of the mental mediocrity upon which it is dependent.

The mental illness that underlies any system of belief exploits a vulnerability in the human mind, a susceptibility to meatware specific viruses if you will.

An example of how heretics are treated by the Woke is the case of Dr, Fryer:

https://quillette.com/2022/04/15/why-did-harvard-university-go-after-one-of-its-best-black-professors/

The espousal of 'Diversity, Equity and Inclusion' as a mantra is thus a flag, indicating deep, potentially fatal, infection in any organization.

What part of that article uncovered any evidence that Dr, Fryer (Dr, Fryer and?) was gone after by the woke? You talk about fallacies but your argument here is "a bad thing happened therefore 'the woke' did it."
