Trump - The Forgotten Person

Ron?

Ron on Aug 1st: "Everyone watch CSPAN on Aug 4th.  Major event planned.  Events are already in motion.  Expect National Guard to defend and protect the rightful President of the United States!  Deep State in panic.  We have been following with great interest."

Aug 4th - another riot; dozens of Trump supporters attack police, poop on the floor and vandalize/loot the Capitol again.

Ron on Aug 5th: "What are you talking about?  I'm not following the events you are talking about.  They truly do not concern me.  Not really interested."

Anti-democratic legislation is sweeping trough GOP country. Voting restriction legislation is proof trump is alive. Still pulling the strings on the puppets that act for him and his message.

"trump is almost six months removed from the Oval Office, but Democrats are warning of an all-sirens-blaring emergency for American democracy. And a group of academic experts declared on Tuesday that they agree.

Democratic National Committee Chairman Jaime Harrison warned during a Tuesday morning appearance on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” that Republican laws that would tighten access to the ballot were just one element making this “one of those break-the-glass moments because our democracy really is in balance.”

After Republicans quashed a proposed commission into the Jan. 6 insurrection last week, Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) lamented that “Donald Trump’s big lie has now fully enveloped the Republican Party. Trump’s big lie is now the defining principle of what was once the party of Lincoln.”

Hi folks,

An update on the Forgotten Man:  Trump’s new blog has less traffic than Petfinder

Colossal failure: Trump’s new blog has less traffic than Petfinder (msn.com)

Some days are better/worse than others.

Hi folks,

A little update:  As Trump’s team took down the blog, it promised that something better was in the offing — a Trump-focused, Trump-branded, Trump-world social network

Trump’s blog failed, bigly. His next online venture won’t be any easier. - POLITICO

Think it will be right up there with his other successes; like the Trump University, like the Trump Casino, etc?

Actually, almost anything would be a better 'success' than those.

Hi folks,

Now, I'm thinking that maybe August 4th is day that they lock him away in the padded room.

Trump is said to be trying hard to recruit politicians and journalists to back the baseless theory he will be reinstated as president (msn.com)

He has ridden so far into the sunset that you can no longer see him.

Come-on Joe. Some people have dreams about winning the lottery. Some dream that the justice system still works. Some dream that the teflon Don will finally sizzle in in the fry pan like he deserves.

I'm an ardent sizzle hoper, for sure. I'm speaking to the head in sanders who think that just because he's wounded he'll shortly die. Maybe he'll bleed out but it's still way too early to take a trophy picture, seems to me. In my religion it ain't meat until it's in the pan.

Hi folks,

Looks like the GOP is coming down to 'What side of the line are you on?':  Republican leaders say they want to focus on the future, but Trump is far from done with the past (msn.com)

Jerry Baumchen

McConnell and the other GOP leaders conducted the litmus test on trump after the November election. They tested again after Jan. 6th with the same results. They determined that challenging trump supporters in the party was still caustic.

Hi folks,

And, once again Trump does not get his way:  Trump struggles to find a challenger to Kemp in Georgia (msn.com)

Trump's grip is tenuous. His animosity toward Sen. Lisa Murkowksi, for example, has not stopped the National Republican Senatorial Committee from backing the Alaska Republican in her reelection bid next year

Mitch McConnell will not do anything that he believes will lessen his chances of regaining control of the Senate. The last time Murkowski was challenged she won as a write in.

Hi folks,

A commentary, but a little more fuel to 'The Forgotten Person' thinking:

This month I will be 97 years old. I have voted Republican in all presidential elections except for the last two. I could not vote for Donald Trump.

Opinion: So what exactly does Donald Trump stand for? (msn.com)

I called it. I said as soon as Trump is out, he will be a no-one and no one will give a shit about him. Well sure enough, thats exactly what happened. He hasent been in the news once since he left office.

You must be kidding. Watch MSNBC, Trump derangement syndrome is alive and well.  They have to continue to cover Trump otherwise they will have to cover the border crisis, skyrocketing inflation, Hunter Biden’s vocabulary, housing and labor shortages, Russian hacking a slowing recovery and a failure to pass infrastructure and climate legislation.

That, said I agree Trumpism is on the wane

On the weekend

"Richard Barnett, the Capitol Insurrectionist, who famously had his photo taken sitting on Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s desk last January, talked to Russian State TV this weekend.

Barnett is currently out on bail and is awaiting trial.

Russian State TV is portraying Barnett as an “innocent victim.”

His lawyer, Joseph McBride, complained to the Russians:

Those who do not like the gov’t or the police are locked up… not provided with medicines, food is not given on time… sometimes beaten. This is terrible.

Say what now?

As Julia Davis, who shared the news on Twitter, points out…

Imagine what would have happened to any protester who broke into the Kremlin and propped his feet up on Putin’s desk."

Inflation and shortages...together with a slowing recovery? I'd suggest school so you can understand how those factors operate.

Stagflation, if you were around in the 70s you would remember.

Real gross domestic product (GDP) increased at an annual rate of 6.4 percent in the first quarter of 2021    Is not stagflation, back to school for you.

How the economy under Trump went from rocket ship to lead balloon

Donald Trump

“We're bringing it (the GDP) from 1 percent up to 4 percent. And I actually think we can go higher than 4 percent. I think you can go to 5 percent or 6 percent.”

Which of course never happened despite over $5 trillion in stimulus and borrowing.

I didn’t say we are currently experiencing stagflation.  I just wanted to help you understand that inflation can/has coexisted with slow growth.

The news is wrong because they're not buying into your Hunter Biden derangement syndrome?

I never said it was wrong it just continues to dwell on Trump while ignoring or downplaying more current events.  They have to fill up the news cycle somehow and reporting on the accomplishments of the Biden administration only takes about two minutes.

But . . . her emails . . .

FOX, Hannity, et al;have moved on a bit. But typical Brent. First the economy is failing(at 6% GDP growth), then prices are rising(robust demand), then he can't explain why there are millions of unfulfilled jobs in America. Can't explain why the stock market is up 12% since President Biden won.

The talking points of the FOX /right are parroted by Brent. All a part of the right wing news cycle.Where growth, employers bidding up wages are skipped and Hillary's e-mails covered by Hannity at 6:00 P.M.
