as much as i hate to admit it, the stupid fuck has a point.  it isn't completely racism driving the bus, it's suppression of democrats.  that just happens to coincide with black folks in ga to some extent(i haven't looked at any records so can't say how much).  it is extremely close to a jim crow law, but it also includes others.  it's also nothing compared to how badly the gop is gutting wv now that they have a super majority.

The BBC had a good report on this law. A US based reporter was explaining the intent and nature of the law to a UK based moderator.

The questions of the UK moderator made the US look like a banana republic.

President Bidens efforts to improve America's rankings will undoubtedly be held back. As he tries to exit the basement for developed countries.

Well, one key indicator of a "banana republic" is the fact that a small minority holds control.
They do whatever they choose, and hold power by preventing free and fair elections.

Not necessarily by 'voter fraud', but by preventing opposition candidates from campaigning, suppressing voters, manipulating voting districts, that sort of thing.

You know, just like the Rs are trying to do.

in some cases like the whole of congress.  like when we say we want sensible gun control to stop the killing and congress bows down to the nra.  the ones who have the balls to actually stand up to them are too busy infighting and trying to ban everything are the worst.  time to dissolve the nra for the corruption and start looking at the root cause of the issue, not just say mental health caused it and skip anything valuable.  yes, the us has been a banana republic for a while now.
