If someone changes lanes abruptly and then locks up the brakes, all bets are off.

In all these years the only time I've come close to rear ending someone it has been my own damned fault. Yes, suicidal drivers are a possibility, but the classic "brake check" is someone pissed off at being followed too closely. And many truck drivers do that all the time. There is no shortage of idiots driving trucks. If they have US plates I always assume they are armed idiots.

As was remarked a big tractor is the best weapon. If so, aren't Canadian truckers potentially armed idiots as well?

In any event it usually takes two for a road rage event. Its far easier to stay cool because everybody has a bad day once in a while.Life is too short to get upset by bad driving and quick tempers.

Congratulations to President Biden/Harris for shattering the record for the most guns added to the streets of American.  Starting from the month of his election, the following year saw more AR-15s and 9mm semi auto handguns go into the hand of Americans than at any one year period in history. (Sorry Obama)

And lets don't forget to cheer this wonderful addition to our gun rights: the JR-15. As in Junior 15. It's a scaled down AR-15 just for kids made by WEE1 Tactical. Seriously.

Hi Joe,

Re:  https://wee1tactical.com/shop/

While I consider giving such an item to any kid stupid, this kid is now wanting his gun back:  Kyle Rittenhouse is going to court to get his gun back : NPR

A pacifier in the mouth of the skull with accent crossbones. The marketing department of wee1 is firing on all chambers.

I wonder how much it will sell for at auction once he recovers it?

Once in a while the courts get it right. It ordered the destruction of the weapon.

Of course Sir Second Amendment, AKA Brent Hutchings, is absent for a comment. Go figure.

I'll play, What's the difference between https://gothunts.com/your-kids-first-22-rifle/ and the https://wee1tactical.com/ JR 15?

Answer: The JR 15 has a much better safety.

The AR platform has been around for over 60 years now. Throughout time, parents have been teaching their kids how to hunt & fish and they have been using the platform of "their" era. In the 1800's it was the Henry Lever action (although back then it didn't come in a .22 squirrel hunting edition).

We've now had three generations of military trained on the AR platform. When they get out - they buy what they know best. No different than any other generation. So, it's just that Daddy knows best how to teach his kid on the platform he's most familiar with.

The little wee1 marketing brand is a play on zombie killers. Poor taste. Maybe. But as the Kardashian's illustrate daily - poor taste isn't illegal.

You know what that sort of choice is called, right? If there was an answer it would be D. None of the above semi-auto weapons. Even for adults semi-auto is a bad choice, based on my outdoor experience. But really, names like "Plinkster", "Youth", and "Half-Pint" over normalize an item that, for the overwhelming majority of kids in the world, should not be a normal toy. And, for sure, "Crickett" ain't Crockett.

“Rittenhouse wants to destroy the rifle and throw the rest of the items away so nothing can be used as a political symbol or trophy celebrating the shootings.”

This guy is a real monster, isn’t he.

Focus. I wasn't referring to Rittenhouse. But yes, he is a monster and an asshole.

He would be a dead asshole monster if not for an AR15.

Focus. If he didn't have laws behind him that you support he'd never have left home with an assault rifle ready to be a vigilante and the dead people wouldn't be.

All weapons are semi-auto. Whatever you own is semi-auto.

It take a special license from BATFE and lots of money and more patience to get an auto.

Hopefully this won't totally derail this thread but you've hit on the uniquely American bent to this story. Kim Kardashian’s "Shapewear label Skims said it had doubled its valuation to $3.2 billion after raising $240 million in fresh funds."

IMO the JR15 completely the wrong rifle to start out young shooters. There are .22 rifles like the Rascal. That are likely more accurate and designed to introduce shooting to those who don't know how dangerous guns can be.

Only America can the Kardashians and the JR15 coexist in the pursuit of the consumer dollar.Proving that bad taste isn't just for women or men alone.

Phil, you're entitled to your opinion, but please understand that for three generations of military; their opinion is the opposite.

Any gun is dangerous. Having a platform that you're well-versed and trained in to train others is much safer than a platform you have zero knowledge of.

There were/are laws - how they got thrown out the window is beyond me.

Just to be clear, do you think the JR-15 would be a good rifle to start a young shooter out with? i.e. their first rifle. I personally started with a .177 air rifle then progressed to single shot shotguns and bolt action .22 rifles.

I pretty sure you know I meant the ability to fire a second shot with a lever, pump or bolt.
