CPAC Stage looks like a Nazi Rune

Sure it was. That's what they want you to believe. :rofl:;)

There's a fair amount of documentation on how the 'peace symbol' was formed.
The fact that it's the same as the 3rd Panzer Division seems to be a coincidence.

I'm not aware of any indications that Holtom was a Nazi or White Supremacist. Please share any you may have.

Not a whole lot of people are familiar with unit markings down to the Divisional level. There are a few that are rather famous, but this isn't one of them.
I'm a bit of a military buff, and I was totally unaware that the 3rd Panzer had a 'peace sign' on their gear.
Kinda partial to the "Big Red One" and the 1st Cav "Horse Blanket" myself.

OTOH, Trump and his minions have a fairly long and comprehensive history of pandering to racists and WS types.

Note - your reply in post 26 just came across. It sure didn't read as sarcasm.
Maybe I need to turn up the gain on my sarcasm detector.
Or we need a 'sarcasm font'.

Guys, I put a laughing and wink face emoticon after it. Sarcasm can equal a smirk and a wink. But, it's Monday, early and maybe more coffee is needed. Anyhooo . . . There are only so many stage variations to maximize the podium based on the audience. It prolly won't be long before someone comes up with a stage platform put out by the left that will coincide with some symbology that offends the right. I give it a day.

The Nazi salute had something to do with it.

Say what?

That is the most ridiculous thing I've heard.

It's called the Bellamy salute.

How can you be this ignorant ?

Since when is pledging allegiance an exclusively nazi thing?

Did you know nazis ate meat? You eat meat. Are you a nazi?

"The Nazi's weren't White Supremacists" is the most fascinating take you've brought to the stage thus far, kudos.

I don't know how your brain works, but when you adopt an asian symbol and go out and demean, maim, and kill mostly white people, how can you be a white supremacist?

Don't liberals hate white people? Don't they wish to do to white people what the Nazis did to white people?

Are you sure you know who's more nazi-like?

At this point I don't think you could be trusted to know how a spoon works.

Yeah but did they? Was that *really* the distinctive characteristic being targeted? Reeaaally...?

Nah.

Position them as an ethnic and genetic ideal and remove everything non-white from existence? Also nah.

I'm as confident about this as I am about how to use a spoon. Which is a lot.

Uhm, 100% YES.

What predominant race do you think the French, English, Dutch, Nordics, Slavs, and Ashkenazi Jews (i.e. their targets) belong to?

You can argue they funded and faught along with BLACK Namibians to kill other minority black tribes, but that's about 0.000001% of what they did.

That's why they allied with Arabs and Japan? Weird white supremacists kill white people and ally with non-white people.

Makes sense.

When Bellamy; a socialist who wrote, "Where all classes of society merge insensibly into one another every alien immigrant of inferior race may bring corruption to the stock. There are races more or less akin to our own whom we may admit freely and get nothing but advantage by the infusion of their wholesome blood. But there are other races, which we cannot assimilate without lowering our racial standard, which should be as sacred to us as the sanctity of our homes."

And, technically, it was a Roman Salute.

There's a new troll in town and people who should know better are feeding it.

It's kinda like going to the zoo. It's fun to feed the animals for a bit, but then you get bored and wander off.

Wow. Impressive. And you know people weren't saluting respect to the flag, but to an obscure screed he wrote somewhere. Makes sense. The pledge of allegiance is racist, and those saluting were really secretly supporting his ideas on race.

But you're right that Nazis were leftists.

I was answering the question you posed, "Since when is pledging allegiance an exclusively nazi thing?"

"For decades, the Bellamy salute was entirely uncontroversial. But by the mid-1930s, comments on the salute’s similarity to Nazi and other fascist salutes began emerging. According to CNN, a particular concern was that fascist propagandists could crop the American flag out of pictures of U.S. citizens reciting the pledge, thus manipulating the images to imply American support for the Nazis or other fascists.

Therefore, Congress passed an amended Flag Code on December 22, 1942, decreeing that the Pledge of Allegiance “be rendered by standing with the right hand over the heart.” The unfortunate association was severed, and the Bellamy salute quickly faded from memory."

You can argue origins forever, but the simple fact remains that this stage IS in the same form as a symbol adopted by Nazis and some modern neo-Nazi groups.  Whether this adoption is deliberate dog whistling or subliminal is another matter.

The shrill denial from our right wing troll suggests embarrassment.

All the world’s a stage,

And all the men and women merely players;

They have their exits and their entrances;

And one man in his time plays many parts,

His acts being seven ages. At first the infant,

Mewling and puking in the nurse’s arms;

And then the whining school-boy, with his satchel

And shining morning face, creeping like snail

Unwillingly to school. And then the lover,

Sighing like furnace, with a woeful ballad

Made to his mistress’ eyebrow. Then a soldier,

Full of strange oaths, and bearded like the pard,

Jealous in honour, sudden and quick in quarrel,

Seeking the bubble reputation

Even in the cannon’s mouth. And then the justice,

In fair round belly with good capon lin’d,

With eyes severe and beard of formal cut,

Full of wise saws and modern instances;

And so he plays his part. The sixth age shifts

Into the lean and slipper’d pantaloon,

With spectacles on nose and pouch on side;

His youthful hose, well sav’d, a world too wide

For his shrunk shank; and his big manly voice,

Turning again toward childish treble, pipes

And whistles in his sound. Last scene of all,

That ends this strange eventful history,

Is second childishness and mere oblivion;

Sans teeth, sans eyes, sans taste, sans everything.

~Shakespeare
