As I understand it, Italy, France, and South Korea have convicted and sentenced their corrupt former presidents. Just sayin'..............

Yep. At least they get convicted although I bet the time behind iron bars for these people is quite different from what the average Joe blow must face

The first trump enabler arrested because of Jan 6th.

"Federico Klein, a former State Department aide, was picked up Thursday on charges stemming from the Jan. 6 takeover of Congress.

The FBI on Thursday arrested Federico Klein, a former State Department aide, on charges related to the storming of the Capitol on Jan. 6, marking the first known instance of an appointee of President Donald Trump facing criminal prosecution in connection with the attempt to block Congress from certifying President Joe Biden’s victory.

Klein, 42, was taken into custody in Virginia,"

Former impeachment manager sues Trump for ‘incitement to riot,’ terrorism and other charges related to the Capitol attack.

The suit brought by Representative Eric Swalwell, Democrat of California, accuses Mr. Trump and key allies of inciting the deadly attack and conspiring with rioters to try to prevent Congress from formalizing President Biden’s election victory. And like the case laid out in the Senate, which acquitted him, it meticulously traces a monthslong campaign by Mr. Trump to undermine confidence in the 2020 election and then overturn its results.

“The horrific events of January 6 were a direct and foreseeable consequence of the defendants’ unlawful actions,” asserts the civil suit, filed for Mr. Swalwell in Federal District Court in Washington. “As such, the defendants are responsible for the injury and destruction that followed.”  :D

It follows a earlier action by Democratic Rep. Bennie Thompson sues Donald Trump over role in insurrection

"The lawsuit spells out in detail how both Trumps, Giuliani and Brooks spread baseless claims of election fraud, both before and after the 2020 presidential election...

Hi Phil,

From your first link:  The lawsuit adds to Mr. Trump’s mounting legal woes.

When all dust finally settles, I think Trump will truly regret* ever taking the oath of office.

And I thought we were done with the list of arrested, indicted and convicted Trump administration people!

Yes, and at the time of the insurrection attempt, he was still a 'State Department employee', holding a "Top" security clearance.

He was obviously working under cover to infiltrate insurrection committed by Antifa!

Impossible. To feel regret implies one made a mistake. A narcissist/sociopath knows that everything that goes wrong is the fault of someone else.

From Politico:

SCOOP: TRUMPS SENDS CEASE-AND-DESIST TO RNC, NRCC AND NRSC. Lawyers for former President DONALD TRUMP sent out cease-and-desist letters Friday to the three largest fundraising entities for the Republican Party — the RNC, NRCC and NRSC — for using his name and likeness on fundraising emails and merchandise, a Trump adviser tells Playbook.

We reported yesterday that Trump was furious that his name has been bandied about by organizations that help Republicans who voted to impeach him — without his permission. Trump, who made his fortune in licensing, has always been sensitive to how his name has been used to fundraise and support members, even while in office.

On Friday, the RNC sent out two emails asking supporters to donate as a way to add their name to a “thank you” card for Trump. “President Trump will ALWAYS stand up for the American People, and I just thought of the perfect way for you to show that you support him!” the email states. “As one of President Trump’s MOST LOYAL supporters, I think that YOU, deserve the great honor of adding your name to the Official Trump ‘Thank You’ Card.” A follow-up email was sent hours later to “President Trump’s TOP supporters” warning of a deadline of 10 hours to get their names on the card.

None of the committees returned a request for comment. But privately GOP campaign types say it’s impossible not to use Trump’s name, as his policies are so popular with the base. If Trump really wants to help flip Congress, they argue he should be more generous. His team, however, sees this differently.

“President Trump remains committed to the Republican Party and electing America First conservatives, but that doesn’t give anyone - friend or foe - permission to use his likeness without explicit approval,” said a Trump adviser.

Hi John,

True.

But he is also too stupid to realize that the GOP's use of his name and likeness is free marketing to keep him in the public's attention.

And free marketing was the whole reason he ran in 2016.

Hi Jerry,

I don't disagree that he wants the money.

But what he wants more is power and control.
