President Biden, critics corner

Recommended Posts

“Everyone needs to come to terms with the reality that we’re going to get slaughtered in November,” the strategist reportedly continued. “That’s a fact. His polling has gotten worse not better. It’s indicative of the fact that people have lost confidence in his leadership. There’s nothing they’re going to be able to do.”

Well before November I expect the Ds to start slaughtering each other in a circular firing squad.

Joe has some wiggling to do to get out of the Hunter foreign business dealings issue. Information in the laptop that became known prior to the election has finally been released. Even Nadler is getting out of the way of this problem.

In 2020 Joe flat out stated, he had never been involved in any of Hunters' business dealings. Well, now there is documented evidence that he was directly involved in more than one.

I guess a lying politician is not a new thing. What is somewhat new is the tech industry and others that said there was nothing to the laptop, it was Russian disinformation.

What evidence and what involvement?

Who is the tech industry and when did they say that?

No, he doesn't.  His son might.

I know you are desperately hoping that by saying it often enough it becomes a big deal.  But compared to Trump's slander/rape trial, the investigation into Gaetz's pedophilia coverup, the Ukraine war, inflation, the attacks on women's rights and the Jan 6th trials, it's just not going to work.

"But . . . her emails . . . and Hunter's laptop . . . look at them!  look at them!"

Are you sure he even remembers anything that long ago?

If a smoking gun is uncovered Joe’s handlers will argue it can’t be held against him because of his “reduced cognitive function”

What is the excuse when there is a smoking gun showing Trump's son was planning an insurrection?

"That's completely different!  It's not his so . . . uh . . . well OK.  It's not like he was talking about a crime.  . . . wait . . . .maybe he was joking?  It's different because . . . uh . . . hey, how about that laptop, huh?"

It’s not a crime if you’re taking your own country back. 9_9He’s a rich white dude — it’s his country. He just thinks he deserves it

Stealing from charities and being fined $2 Million for it, and being guilty of fraud and fined $25 million for it - (by courts following due process, with actual evidence, not just innuendo) didn't seem to lead to much wiggling by Trump.

Nor did stating clearly on video that he sexually assaulted women and got away with it because of his celebrity.

Looks like we have a terminal case of “whataboutism” today.  FYI Trump is no longer President.

We have a terminal case on our hands, you've got that right. Yes, Trump is no longer President but have you noticed that he does no longer President somewhat differently than previous no longer Presidents? That's no trivial point. Surely you can see that his actions and, in no small degree, the actions of those in power who yet fear him are both damaging and weakening our current President. For a bonus, are you able to see that your bored efforts at self entertainment contribute to that?

Bill - at some point people need to realize that saying Trump is/was a bigger jerk/slimeball/crook or any other term is not a defense for someone else being a criminal and influence peddler.

Even in a simple case of speeding the judge will laugh when one says, "Your honor, the other guy was speeding the same or more than I was", and will slam the gavel while stating that is not a viable defense. Speeding is speeding.

Bill, please consider my post above, (2290), Trump is not playing by the usual rules.

Jakee - if you don't have that basic information then you aren't paying any attention.

“The tech industry” is a massive, nebulous thing made up of huge numbers of completely unconnected people and companies. When you just say “the tech industry” it’s simply impossible to know who you’re actually talking about.

So who is “the tech industry” in your post and when did they say it?

You misunderstand. Bill’s defence of Joe Biden is that you have no evidence of him being a criminal or influence peddler.

Then he’s saying ‘but Trump is and you’ve never seemed to have a problem with that’.

You've been around for a while.  How about linking to some of your posts where you criticized Trump for PROVABLE misdeeds - like fraud and admitted sexual assault.
