How much he is worth seems to depend very strongly on whether he is trying to get a loan or to avoid paying taxes. In February 2015, Trump said he would release tax returns if he ran for president. On another occasion that month, he declared: "I have no objection to certainly showing tax returns." Trump announced his candidacy for president in June 2015.
