Parachutist Magazine - No more Incident (Bounce) Reports?

Recommended Posts

CSPA quit printing accident, incident and malfunction reports more than 40 years ago for fear that tort lawyers would use those reports against CSPA in court.

After 9 years of misery in my (personal injury) lawsuit, I agree that feeding the lawyers is a bad habit.

Last month's had a couple non-fatal. This month doesn't seem to have any (yes, I just looked).

I would think that part of it is the reduced number of incidents, both fatal & non.
We've been on a downward trend for a while.

We also probably saw one of the lowest yearly total jumps due to Covid. I know I personally set a record for the least number of jumps this past year.

I wouldn't be terribly surprised if a new low for fatals is set this year (2020).

I was half way expecting my incident to end up in the last one...it didn't. Not sure if an USPA incident report was filed.

Also expected to hear of the animator from Bob's Burgers...no dice...maybe to soon to make it in an issue.

Also noticed the lack of reports in the last issue. Fine if there were none, but not cool if there were and the article has been done away with.
