Gavrilo Andrić 0 #1 Posted December 28, 2020 Hi folks, usually when I'm thinking of skydiving gear I'm not thinking about the footwear, but, recently I've noticed that people are using very wide range of stuff. Especially I'm thinking of footwear for disciplines like swoop. I'm currently in a very beginning phase of swoop learning so I'm interested in hearing your best practices or any advices about this topic. What is the best option to achieve both - optimal mobility and in the same time good protection? Thanks
piisfish 62 #2 December 29, 2020 I like skateboarding shoes. They slide well on grass. Have used a variety of Airwalk, DC Shoes... And my fetish Converse Chuck Taylor's
timber 2 #3 December 30, 2020 Best are Classic Reebok High tops. Flat on the bottom so you can ski on the grass. Some ankle support and a velcro strap to keep those shoe laces from coming undone and flapping in the wind!
base615 3 #4 December 31, 2020 Don't have a recommendation as I just recently got back into the sport and, before I stopped jumping, barely anyone wore shoes. The odd pair of Tevas maybe :)
wmw999 480 #5 December 31, 2020 I used to hear about people recommending bowling shoes; very flat bottoms, made to slide. And a real style statement, too Wendy P.
