Hack of US Networks by trump's Best Friend

Recommended Posts

It appears as if the largest security breach in the history of America has taken place. Naturally although trump has been fully briefed on it. He has said and done nothing.

"According to SolarWinds S.E.C. filings, the malware was on the software from March to June. The number of organizations that downloaded the corrupted update could be as many as 18,000, which includes most federal government unclassified networks and more than 425 Fortune 500 companies.

The Russians have had access to a considerable number of important and sensitive networks for six to nine months. The Russian S.V.R. will surely have used its access to further exploit and gain administrative control over the networks it considered priority targets. For those targets, the hackers will have long ago moved past their entry point, covered their tracks and gained what experts call “persistent access,” meaning the ability to infiltrate and control networks in a way that is hard to detect or remove.

The actual and perceived control of so many important networks could easily be used to undermine public and consumer trust in data, written communications and services. In the networks that the Russians control, they have the power to destroy or alter data, and impersonate legitimate people."

"The size of the hack, which began as early as March, remains unclear. SolarWinds said up to 18,000 of its more than 300,000 customers had downloaded the compromised software."

Now trump has suspended security briefings to the incoming Biden administration. I guess his friend Putin has to be protected. Next step pardon for Putin.

i am wondering why this doesn't get much response in here - news say that even organisation close to the nsa were/are affected...

is this the shtf ron was talking about?

Fancy Bear monitors SC and US citizens that say bad things about President Putin. Non residents don't have to worry about retaliations i.e. nerve agents on your doorknobs. Because the hacks has only affected US networks/ip addresses.

In other words President Putin only cares about his personal assets. If he doesn't have personal assets in your country you don't have to worry.

People are still wondering why the wall didn't stop this.

*facepalm*
news has it, that the whole thing (reports speak of 18.000 affected organistations) via SolarWinds happend because of gross negligence of said company - which would be the next facepalm

Gross negligence is having all your agencies using the same software so that once that is compromised everything is compromised. Gross negligence is diverting funding from cyber security to building a wall. Gross negligence is removing the widely respected head of the organization tasked with fighting this because he said something you didn't like.

Gross negligence is the standard operating state of the United States in the last 4 years.

But the good news is, they have a successful businessman running the country!

In October 2018 Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen testified in a hearing titled, “Threats to the Homeland.”

"she would go on to describe in stark terms a threat landscape that existed almost entirely online, one that bore little recognition to the threats her department was created to combat in 2003. DHS was founded, Nielsen told lawmakers, “to prevent another 9/11,” but the biggest threat to the country no longer came from al-Qaida and planes in the sky. Instead, she said, “I believe an attack of that magnitude is now more likely to reach us online.

Because she refused to emphasize the non existent dangers of illegal immigration trump demanded her resignation.

trump went on to fire two other coordinators of cyber security and put the emphasis on separating immigrant children from their parents. This was five months after trump gutted the CDC and its pandemic response funding. "The cuts started in 2018, as the White House focused on eliminating funding to Obama-era disease security programs. In March of that year, Rear Adm. Timothy Ziemer, whose job it was to lead the U.S. response in the event of a pandemic, abruptly left the administration and his global health security team was disbanded."
