After surgery, my knee was so swollen that it was difficult to wear pants, so I pulled my Utilikilt up over my aching knee. As I was walking out of a store, a guy complimented me on my kilt. He was wearing a "Soldiers of Odin" shirt. I mumbled a thank-you and wandered off. How does one gracefully respond to a compliment from a political group that one fears?
