DZOs-Would you move your DZ to New Mexico if it passed a law banning injury/death lawsuits caused by skydiving?

You drafted legislation that would require dropzones to carry insurance that doesn't exist as a current product and would be a prohibitive expense?

Please stop doing the sport any favors.

Agreed!
A Canadian DZ recently lost a military contract because the army insisted on a large liability insurance policy. That type of insurance is not available in Canada.

That wasn't the reason the contract was not renewed. The insurance required was acquired, albeit via more than one policy.

The contract was not renewed because the Brits ran out of money. They (gov't) earn their money via taxes in Pounds but pay for things in Canada in $$$. The drop in the Pound made everything in Canada more expensive and compared to the other adventure activities they offer soldiers, skydiving was the one big ticket item they could lose and easily keep all the others.
