Phil1111 896 #1 Posted September 3, 2020 (edited) In 2016 trump accused China of "raping" the US on the issue of trade. Well Xi is laughing about it now because after four years the US-China deficit has widened by $600 million. Despite his claimed victories, his tariffs on US importers and his "trade deal". Last year the deficit to China was $345 billion dollars. President XI played America as fools."during the 2016 campaign, Mr Trump pledged to negotiate better trade deals for US workers and asked voters to use the size of the deficit as a “scorecard”. "China's trade surplus widened sharply to USD 62.33 billion in July 2020 from USD 44.02 billion in the same month the previous year and far above market expectations of USD 42.0 billion. Exports rose by 7.2 percent, the fastest pace since December last year, while imports unexpectedly fell by 1.4 percent. The country's trade surplus with the United States widened to USD 32.46 billion in July from USD 29.41 billion in June." "Robert Lighthizer, US trade representative, last week struck an optimistic tone on the implementation of the phase one trade deal following a call with Liu He, his Chinese counterpart. But the deal is showing signs of weakness. Eight months on, China is on track to miss the targets in the agreement, which said that over two years from 2020, China would buy $200bn more in US goods and services than it did in 2017, before the start of the trade war. According to the Peterson Institute for International Economics, US exports to China of the products covered by the commitments amounted to $48.5bn, compared with a prorated year-to-date target of $100.7bn." So China expanded its surplus over America under trump. trump bragged about his "Phase One Deal" and China is only honored it by a half. That agreement means that instead of expanding US imports. CHINA EXPANDED EXPORTS. All of the structural issues of patent infringement, theft of intellectual property and barriers to US companies entering China markets. Have been abandoned by trump and his negotiators. 1 in 5 corporations say China has stolen their IP within the last year: CNBC CFO survey Edited September 3, 2020 by Phil1111

CygnusX-1 42 #3 September 3, 2020 All I can say to that is #EightMoreYears. #Trump2020 #Trump2024. After 2028, Trump will be too old to even care about being the figurehead that he wants to be. I'm sure he has never cared about doing the job of president. I'm actually shocked that in 4 years, Trump hasn't completely broken the US economy and turned us into a 3rd world country. We probably need 8 more years for that to happen. It is time for a change in world power/structure anyway. EightMoreYears.

So all will be OK once he reads it. The winning just keeps on coming; so much winning it is hard to keep up with it. The winning just keeps on coming; so much winning it is hard to keep up with it. Jerry Baumchen Good thought but unlike trump Xi likely received full intelligence briefings on every aspect of trump's personality. Xi likely spent the first couple minutes praising trump's good looks, intelligence, education and business acumen. So lying his face off. The Chinese intelligence unit probably had crib notes on trump's books Donald Trump’s Ghostwriter Tells All. “The Art of the Deal” made America see Trump as a charmer with an unfailing knack for business. Tony Schwartz helped create that myth—and regrets it. 'Willful Ignorance.' Inside President Trump's Troubled Intelligence Briefings. Time February 5, 2019 "The briefers’ concerns are spread across multiple areas of expertise. Two briefers worry that a summit with Chinese President Xi Jinping could produce a trade agreement that the President can trumpet but that fails to address China’s espionage, its theft of intellectual property that ranges from circuit boards to soybean hybrids, its military buildup, and its geopolitical ambition.". So the worries of the best and greatest intelligence services in the world, America's. Were borne to be true because of trump's wilful ignorance and stupidity.
