2. The enforcement provisions of this Order shall not be applied to persons in the judicial or legislative branches of the District government while those persons are on duty; and shall not apply to any employees of the federal government while they are on duty.

Since the right wing is in charge of the CDC, that would be right wing hypocrisy.

So you're good with the need for masks...unless you work for the feds.

Obviously the executive branch should be superior to the others and not equal, and the District should have priority over the Federal Government.

Maybe YOU can re-write the Constitution to make that clear to everyone.

No this is right wing hypocrisy. Competition delivers the cheapest products to the American consumer. Just turn competition loose and everyone benefits.

Corporate Insiders Pocket $1 Billion in Rush for Coronavirus Vaccine

"Well-timed stock bets have generated big profits for senior executives and board members at companies developing vaccines and treatments.

On June 26, a small South San Francisco company called Vaxart made a surprise announcement: A coronavirus vaccine it was working on had been selected by the U.S. government to be part of Operation Warp Speed, the flagship federal initiative to quickly develop drugs to combat Covid-19.

Vaxart’s shares soared. Company insiders, who weeks earlier had received stock options worth a few million dollars, saw the value of those awards increase sixfold. And a hedge fund that partly controlled the company walked away with more than $200 million in instant profits.

The race is on to develop a coronavirus vaccine, and some companies and investors are betting that the winners stand to earn vast profits from selling hundreds of millions — or even billions — of doses to a desperate public."

Maybe I don't understand your point. DC has no "jurisdiction" over federal employees.

As others have pointed out, that would be because the DC mayor does not have the authority to force them. And yes, there is a ton of hypocrisy involved. It is the hypocrisy of DC residents having no real representation in the legislative branch of the federal government.

Don't think this shows hypocrisy on the left.

Do you ever think anything shows hypocrisy or double standards coming from the left, especially in this dog shit forum?

There's a difference between criticism and complaining.

Seems the left is full on with censorship...

Removing blatant lies might seem like censorship to some.

Personally I detest pathological liars and whiners like Jordan - the guy who refused to cooperate with the OSU wrestling sexual abuse scandal into his buddy.

He should certainly understand hypocrisy if anyone does.

Funny how the right is perfectly ok with blatant lies.

Paid for by 'dark money' groups who want the country to 'open up'.

How many people have to die before the right will accept reality?

Or will they just keep pretending it's not a problem?

If I've learned anything in my time on SC it's that a lot of sharp people somehow enjoy futility.

I also predict that Christmas 2021 will be a lean one for many families in America.

Hi Robert,

I disagree; while 2021 may be a 'lean one,' I also think that 2020 is going to be very tough for many families.

All those rent payments that were put into abeyance will come due later this year.

Both right. Turning an economy around will not be as simple a a vaccine and away you go.Although the stock market seems to think so.States ,cities and local municipalities have not received funding. They are operating with poor balance sheets.

(Turtle), the turnaround necessary to deal with trump bungles will also be a drag on the economy.

Trump and his cronies have finally succeeded. They have brought (and WILL bring) untold misery to this country. You probably heard the news today that the GDP (gross domestic product) has fallen by 33% since the start of the pandemic.

To compare that to something else, at the height of the Great Depression it fell about 14%.

Turtle will be so, so happy. trump has made America number one in the world.

The economies of the EU spent far less on stimulus per capital. Yet they still managed to keep the drop in GDP at less than 1/2 of that of the US. Spain at -18.5% of GDP and the whole EU at -12.1%. trump, yeah he can manage the US economy like trump Airlines, trump casinos, trump Steaks, trump Wines, trump University, etc.,etc.

More than twice the deaths, more than twice the drop in GDP, MAGA. Oh and don't forget about he $6 trillion in additional debt under the idiot in chief.

note: Both references for GDP for the second quarter alone.

Further study on how to ruin business and countries:

Business Genius Trump Lost More Money Than Anyone in America Between 1985-1994

We valued the president at $3.1 billion a month ago. Now he’s worth $2.1 billion. Here’s why.
