Hi Keith,

I have yet to see any reason why local/state LEO need to wear camo to do their job.

What if a perp turns to shoot at them, only to discover that a jungle has grown behind the police?  Then he wouldn't be able to see them and they'd be protected.

Don't trivialize something serious, Bill. You never know where you'll need to wear camouflage.

It helps to intimidate the population.

And it does. Back in the day it was tear gas and real bullets which they really didn't want to use. Now it's "less than lethal" projectiles that will send you to the ER for facial reconstruction. So we're making progress there, I guess.

The conversation is now beyond not being offensive so the conversation can continue. Secret Police are being deployed in the cities of our nation by a rogue federal government to not just suppress protests but to enhance the current governments chances at reelection. Just let that thought explode in your brain for a second. If that isn't enough for you to discard your fear of the opposition party and say fuck that shit then you will never say it.

While I know this is a joke, and don't want to sidetrack things too much, this is the only part of Space Force that actually makes logical sense. Spending extra cash on designing and implementing a brand new uniform for the branch would have been a complete waste of time and money - slapping SF patches on existing in-use camo is an almost refreshing example of thriftiness.

Actually it is the penultimate expression of how stupid we are. Why not Navy whites or Marine dress blues?  Simple, it was to announce we are militarizing space and fuck anyone who objects. And no, the military wasn't being thrifty that week for the first time in history.

So what is the ultimate expression of how stupid we are? Electing Trump in the first place?

Although that is true and on target. The current GOP has said nothing about the trump camoshirts. The GOP obstructed the impeachment and voted against it.

Was there ever anything that made you think it was something other than that? Don't get me wrong; I am not in favor of it at all.

Well, actually they were. The USSF is under the Air Force and they opted to go with the current Air Force OCU

Well, if saving money was important, they did have other options on the shelf that definitely had more panache. I simply think it's poor form to run around screaming the dilithium crystals are getting ready to blow wearing camo when you could do it riding a horse or swinging a scepter. But that's just me.

Private bone spurs orders the beating of 53 yo USN veteran. Chickenhawks with Barr nodding approval are reenacting the Beer Hall Putsch.

A Navy Veteran Had a Question for the Feds in Portland. They Beat Him in Response.

The veteran said he wanted to ask the officers whether they felt their actions violated the Constitution. Video shows them tear-gassing him and smashing his hand with baton blows.

"Christopher J. David had largely ignored the protests in downtown Portland, Ore., but when he saw videos of unidentified federal agents grabbing protesters off the street and throwing them into rented minivans, he felt compelled to act.

Mr. David, a Navy veteran, said that federal agents’ use of violent tactics against protesters, without the support of the mayor, the governor or local law enforcement, was a violation of the oaths that agents take to support, uphold and defend the Constitution.

And so, on Saturday, he took a bus downtown to ask the officers how they squared their actions with that oath.

Instead of getting an answer, Mr. David was beaten with a baton by one federal officer as another doused him with pepper spray, according to video footage of the encounter. After he walked away from the confrontation, Mr. David was taken to a nearby hospital, where a specialist said his right hand was broken and would require surgery to install pins, screws and plates. He declined pain medication."

Hi Phil,

Of course, this is all over our local news.

Re:  'Hero.'

On tonite's local evening news, he said that he was not 'any ironman, any superman,' as some people are calling him.  He said that he was just a 53 yr-old, fat guy, who takes blood thinners.

He also said that he would like to sit down & have a cup of coffee with the federal officer who beat him with the baton.

Yup, that's a Hero.
