Eiley 0 #1 Posted July 6, 2020 A new book that looks at the 2003 death of Stephen Hilder: Blue Skies, Black Death In July 2003, 20-year-old Stephen Hilder died when his parachute failed to open as he was taking part in a jump from Hibaldstow Airfield in the UK. His body was found in a cornfield near the airfield. What seemed like a tragic accident quickly turned into a murder investigation, when it became evident that his parachute had been tampered with before he boarded the airplane. As soon as he jumped out the door, Stephen Hilder had no chance of survival. The sabotage could only have been carried out by an experienced skydiver, so everyone on the dropzone became a suspect. The investigation that followed contained more twists and surprises than a work of fiction.
