Tenshi 0 #3 June 4, 2006 So could this have turned into a disaster? Seems to me like he comfortably cleared that.
skydiverek 55 #4 June 4, 2006 Think about it: the bridle wraps VERY TIGHLTY around his wrist (creates a knot that can not be cleared). The jumpmaster is pulled UPWARDS by the pilotchute (80 lbs or so of force). The main pin and bag is pulls and the canopy inflates right in his face. He falls into it (with the bridle still knotted on his wrist). The student jumper cuts away the "malfunction" and leaves the jumpmaster wraped in the canopy. Possible...? Tenshi 0 #5 June 4, 2006 Hmmmmm...that would indeed have been very ugly.
skydiverek 55 #6 June 4, 2006 There is actually a vidoe online (somewhere, skydivingmovies.com?) where a jumpmaster goes THRU the lines of student's inflating canopy...
Cornholio 0 #7 June 4, 2006 Ah, my AFF video. I asked about this. When I threw out, I hit her and she just helped me move the PC out into the airstream. You're right, it could have resulted in a PC wrap, but it didn't - it's all good. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! divnswoop 0 #8 June 4, 2006 Awfully nice of the cameraman to come down right in front and below of the level 3 right at pull time too.. He gets the students attention and what does the student do? Follow him with his eyes and head thus dearching at pull time.
