Sounds like we're seeing more of the upside of climate change!  Fuck yeah!  Winning!  Anyway, I'm not familiar with that claim and had to look it up.  National Geographic says there's never been sufficient data available to make a claim that they're increasing in the long term and in the short term they appear to be decreasing as global warming disturbs the type of very specific conditions needed to create them.

No, no, no. You have it all wrong! The warning was that global warming was going to make for more tomatoes. Not tornadoes - tomatoes. Tomatoes are really only good for pizza sauce and ketchup (maybe salsa too). Having an increase in tomatoes in this world is a plague that we cannot afford and should be prevented at all costs.That is why global warming has to be curtailed immediately.

If hurricanes and heat-sensitive areas were a problem, people would not be flocking to them. Texas, Arizona, Florida and Nevada come to mind.

There are NOT fewer trucks on the road right now (or for the past three months). 

Not in the US anyway.

Freight demands are shifting around a bit, but the amount of trucks moving (and fueling, and parking at night, and loading & unloading) hasn't gone down enough to notice. 

One of the things the country really needs is the trucks to move and deliver freight. It would take only a few days for food, fuel and other essentials to run out if the trucks stopped moving. That would be 'bad'.

I have been rather well assured that Ron's "SHTF" is not imminent, mainly because it isn't any easier to find a place to park at night, or any quicker in & out of the places I pick up and deliver to. 
Trucks are moving, freight is being delivered, supplies are getting where they need to be (sorry Ron).
