He clearly asked for other opinions on the article and represented that he had not formed, or didn't offer one for his own view.

Sidestepping debate by changing the subject, refusing to concede valid counterpoint or facts would also make you a....."meat robot" no I can't be bothered to google that one. I'll just cause it disingenuous.

China is vulnerable to any prolonged conflict as it has almost no domestic oil production. The US has allies in the area of which Australia is the most notable. They have recently substantially increased their budget for new weapons. China's military adventurism quoted most often as a reason for that need.
