I Hate Trump

You're both mistaken. The world is laughing at him.

???Both mistaken about what?

airdvr posted that he figured there was a consolidation thread needed.

Unless you mean he is wrong about us being welcome for the attempt.

Then I posted that it wouldn't do any good to consolidate them, because it makes the left leaning people here feel bad if they can't continually bash Trump.

I really don't see where either of those posts were mistaken.

One only has to scroll around all the threads here and that becomes blatantly obvious.

Figured you guys needed a thread where you can keep all of it.

You're welcome.

What emotion do you think most appropriate for an individual who is documented to have told over 18,000 lies in the past 3 years, has been fined $27 MILLION for fraudulent business practices, brags about grabbing women by the pussy and walking in unannounced on Miss Teen USA changing rooms, and claims to be the smartest person in the world ("no-one knows more about ..... than I do")?

It seems to be admiration in your case.

Funny how the world in never laughing when they need money.

It is that attitude that will get the US in trouble. The constant burning of bridges the last 3 years. You are racing to a point where you are going to need help, but it won't be on the table any more.

One example: when 9/11 happened Canada helped. The story of Gander, Nfld being among the most famous. Then during COVID-19 when Canada needed help, the US ordered 3M not to deliver any PPE to Canada. It showed the true nature of the US and it isn't pretty.

Iran hostages 1979, 9/11 are ancient history, but what has Canada done for us recently?

With almost $300 billion in trade I get the feeling the relationship isn't so simple.

It certainly isn't black and white. But your continued thought that you can bully yourself into getting what you want isn't so simple either.

Ya know, you've got a lovely set of put-down-y answers there.

I kind of find that the throwing up of actually, verifiably, false information on a regular basis, as well as the putting up of severely incomplete data, to be a bad thing. Yeah, it happens. But the President shouldn't be among the people doing it. He's not Satan, and he's not (really) am imbecile. But apparently he was the best the Republicans had to offer 4 years ago, just as Biden is apparently the best Democrats have to offer this year.

What was received was not really what was paid for.

I notice that none of the Trumpies and fellow travelers have answered this very simple question:

"What emotion do you think most appropriate for an individual who is documented to have told over 18,000 lies in the past 3 years, has been fined $27 MILLION for fraudulent business practices, brags about grabbing women by the pussy and walking in unannounced on Miss Teen USA changing rooms, and who claims to be the smartest person in the world ("no-one knows more about ..... than I do")?"

Of course not.

They CAN'T.

Same as when you ask them 'what about saying that Nazis & KKK are "very fine people"'.

They ignore it or deflect it.

Or throw out 'what about Benghazi?'

Standard "gaslighting" behavior.
Which is one of the few things that Trump is actually really good at.

That's not a bad thing, is it?

Other than the whole lung damage from smoking it . . . I'd rather see Canuckians being high rather than drunk.:D

Well I personally don't indulge but almost everyone else seems to. In fact a friend who self isolates in a quite disciplined manner. Was indulging last night when I called him.In other news it seems as if Americans trust Canadians more than they do fellow Americans.

"The poll from Leger and the Association for Canadian Studies finds only 34 per cent of respondents expressed trust in Americans, compared with 58 per cent from a similar survey in November of last year.

Of those living in the U.S., 72.5 per cent said they trusted Canadians, compared with 70 per cent who expressed trust in their fellow citizens."

Which I would attribute to trump.

I don't think you actually have to smoke it anymore.  I saw a documentary where you can use some sort of vapor device.

Lets take this one by its self.

I mentioned a few days ago that Strom Thurman was a recruiter and a member of the KKK.

He was summarily defended and all his good works were put forth, and excuses galore were made.

Was he not a fine person?

Vaping causes lung damage as well, they are studying it to see just how bad.

Edibles seem to be safer, though, if you need to alter your mind.
