Stimulus Checks May Be Delayed Because Trump Wants His Name Printed On Them

Recommended Posts

As egotistical as this headline makes POTUS out to be - and I don't put it past him . . .

There is this at the end - I think it's being ignored for the most part:

The Treasury Department did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Forbes, but told the Washington Post that the checks “are scheduled to go out on time and exactly as planned—there is absolutely no delay whatsoever.”

So - lets be honest and concentrate a little harder on the "May Be", and be fair.

The Steve Mnuchin led treasury dept? They denied that there would be any problem? Imagine that!

Let's see, my wife and I actually pay taxes (a lot).  Shouldn't the people paying get to have their names on these checks instead of someone whose known returns (from 1985 to 1994) show how effectively he dodged paying them, and who is still just about the biggest moocher out there in terms of getting taxpayers to pay for his golfing outings?

Hi folks,

Anyone get theirs yet?

A friend has gotten his; I have not.

On another forum, someone showed their direct deposit had occurred.

I've tried multiple times to check mine today, and only get error messages that the website is overwhelmed.

$1200.00 Direct deposit yesterday.

Hi raftman,

That's it, I'm calling my Congress Critters.  This is not fair.

:)

PS)  Actually, I wish my financial situation was like both of my children; they make too much money to qualify.  Where or where did I go wrong.

Your Turtleness, I agree that the delay should have been confirmed on stone tablets before it was asserted. That concession made, will you concede that his requiring his signature to be on the checks 1) could not have made the process faster, and 2) is nothing short of a completely childish and douche move that is in no detail befitting the office of the President of the United States of America?

No I just wanted to preempt Joe's comment that I was benefiting from a socialist program.

But you didn't. And you can not. From your subsidized rent at Skydive Happy Valley to your military pension to when you hop in your car and drive on public roads or cheer on the fire department when they put out your neighbors house fire, like the rest of us, you are on the tit. And when you still get rent checks from your college professor renters next month just hold your nose and thank the public dole for trickling down to your wallet once again.

No Turtle. Egotistical is what you and I do. Trump is the President of the United States of America. He acts like a goddamn spoiled toddler. If you want to be honest, simply agree.

I agree that he has and will again - but its not nearly as much as you claim it is.  Agree if you want to be honest.

Just exactly where does the money from the public dole come from?
