New Zealand PM Jacinda Ardern wins second term in landslide election victory

https://www.cnn.com/2020/10/17/asia/new-zealand-election-2020-results-intl-hnk/index.html

New Zealand has reported fewer than 2,000 total cases and 25 deaths since the pandemic began. Leadership counts.

What, you mean downplaying it, lying about it, ignoring it, blaming others isn't the way to a landslide re-election? Quick, someone tell Trump!

And his enablers, like Herman Cain (and others at the Trump rallies in Tulsa and at Mt. Rushmore).

Looks like Sturgis is setting up to be a spreader event too - yesterday SD had the highest number of new cases since May 8.

Well, surprise!
https://www.washingtonpost.com/health/2020/10/17/sturgis-rally-spread/

Within weeks of the gathering that drew nearly half a million bikers, the Dakotas, along with Wyoming, Minnesota and Montana, were leading the nation in new coronavirus infections per capita.

He's setting records with the stock market! Biggest numbers the world has ever seen. Way bigger than that Obama. Bigly even. If he can edge out Bush, he's got historic numbers. I actually expect him to surpass all historic numbers with the market.

Please take the time and explain to all of us how Trump and the stock market have anything to do with each other?
thank you.

Sure.  When he says that he won't negotiate for stimulus until after he wins, the stock market tanks.  Direct cause/effect.

When COVID-19 is out of control and requires massive shutdowns, the stock market tanks.  Much of that was Trump's negligence.  Again, direct cause/effect.

Normally the president has little to do with the stock market, other than setting fiscal policy.  It takes a huge screwup for the president's actions to affect the stock market directly.  Unfortunately, we have a huge screwup in the white house now.

some good news for a change, Pfizer has already started full scale production of their Covid vaccine in hopes for approval. It makes sense. The drug basically costs very little to make and if they are the first company to push their product on the public, that is big cash. For a rarity, corporate interest aligns with public interest. That has to be a record of some sort. I wonder how many of their workers are accidentally 'losing' a few of those doses for themselves and their family. Not that I blame them at all. I think the covid vaccine should already start being pushed. Anyone who wants to take the risk and sign a waiver and take it. Right now at this point you're way more likely to die because you did not take an experimental Covid vaccine than because you did. There is a high probability that the vaccines will receive FDA approval and when they do it's going to be like "oh 150,000 people died that we could have saved, but you know, we wanted to be SUPER SURE it was safe first". well there you go, it turns out it was safe and now hundreds of thousands more are dead because they dident have time to wait.

That's fantastic. And what a great bunch of guys and girls to go out on a taxpayer paid for limb to distribute a vaccine already paid for by the taxpayers. Can we call them heroes, too?

Agreed.  If all goes well it could be approved for general use as early as the third week of November.

Awesome. So when do us corporals and privates get a jab? It's good news but the vaccine is a chimera, for sure. We want it, and hopefully you kids need to wait in line behind the deserving elderly, but it's cheap and accurate testing with immediate results that will set us free.  No one has any clue how long the immunity will last and, even after a few months when it finally trickles up to Canadiens, there will still be 40 million Americans who won't vaccinate. In the meantime, everyday I check for monoclonal anti-bodies on Amazon but still it's only books.

Isn't this interesting.

One huge point this article makes is that the PCR test is not an indicator of COVID. It was never intended for that purpose and the results are not reliable. Major decisions about quarantine, closing businesses, social distancing and mask wearing are based on these test results.

Here's a quick blurb from their site regarding the head of Mercola:

Quote

Joseph Michael Mercola is an American alternative medicine proponent, osteopathic physician, and Internet business person

Looks like you're digging to some pretty obscure/sketchy corners of the Interwebs to find obscure/sketchy content to back up what you've already decided.

Did you listen or read the data? The guy that "invented" the PCR test has stated many times that it doesn't work for this purpose. That is a main point in the article.

No, not really obscure. Dr Mercola has been around for many years and is quite credible. He believes in Integrative Medicine and that goes against some traditional medical treatments. Traditional medicine is diagnose and prescribe. That's great for big pharma. Other doctors prefer prevention that includes a healthy or super healthy immune system.

Geez, what do you know about the PCR test? Have you even used a PCR machine before?

It's the most sensitive test we have for viral RNA, however it has also been demonstrated COUNTLESS times that asymptomatic people who test positive are very capable of transmitting the virus, as was found in New Zealand recently.

The rest of the article is just conspiracy theorist rubbish.
