It could be zero standing in line if the remaining 45 states moved forward into the 20th century with that cutting-edge technology called the "mail in ballot".

Hi Robert,

RATZ - once again, you beat me to it.

;P

Jerry Baumchen

PS)  And, let us not forget how Trump criticized mail-in voting and then admitted to doing it himself.  Can you be more 2-faced?

What kind of accuracy is expected from this 1.1 million tests per day?

Do you mean in the number (1.1M) of tests performed, or the outcomes of the tests, like false negatives and false positives?

Soooo - the solution here is to cram as many "social distancing" people as possible into one enclosed space to transport them to another place, in order to get tested for the thing they that is causing them to have to be social distancing ? ?

Nope.  You use trains to take doctors/technicians to the infected area.  Like the WHO does now.

Or do you hate them too now?

Quote

Why are you trying to justify China in this?

?? Not trying to "justify China."  Just pointing out that the people claiming it's impossible are dead wrong.

Do you still have a Philco tube set? No one has to wait for a warm up. Just a boot up!

I was imagining what FOX TV would be like because its website looks like a slot machine with all the distractible graphics, colors, etc. Joke acknowledged.

At an average distance of 2 meters - that would be a collective lines that measures roughly 2200 Kilometres long - per day - for 10 days.

Once again, how long will the line of over 100M people on one day in November be?

You can use all the 'maths' you want to prove how unfeasible it is to process that many people in a short time but I guarantee you'll always be relying on an erroneous assumption somewhere, since we already know that processing that many people in an even shorter time is feasible, because we do it.

TRUMP: "When you test, you have a case. When you test, you find something is wrong with people. If we didn't do any testing we would have very few cases."

Did he say that?

Granted we all mis speak every now and again, but the leader of a country can’t afford to do it often.

Yes, he's not a leader its Amerika. (link below not for Turtles)

Trump: Coronavirus testing may be ‘overrated’ and reason for high U.S. case count

“America has now conducted its 10 millionth test. That’s as of yesterday afternoon. Ten million tests we gave. Ten million,” Trump said from a stage at the warehouse event, which had the trappings of a campaign-style rally. “And CVS has just committed to establish up to 1,000 new coronavirus testing sites by the end of this month, and the 10 millionth will go up very, very rapidly.

“And don’t forget, we have more cases than anybody in the world,” he added. “But why? Because we do more testing. When you test, you have a case. When you test, you find something is wrong with people. If we didn’t do any testing, we would have very few cases.”

Trump said the news media had refused to report his “common sense” explanation for the country’s high case numbers"

Common sense, Its why his supporters vote for him and understand him.

This is a well known fact.  You don't have lung cancer until you go to the doctor and he tells you.  Therefore if you never go to the doctor, you never get lung cancer.  You see this phenomenon all the time in VA hospitals.

I think since the clock already started, that the lines will need to be even more to meet the deadline.

I suppose you can have a couple hundred thousand testers doing door to door tests.

Western journalists are actually now allowed back in Wuhan, and it does seem the testing has started:

Even if they announce that they've completed the tests, you'll say they're lying anyway - but that's actually more to make yourself feel better than anything else. In the meantime, life goes on and the dying in the US continues.

Not understanding the whole testing thing.  Is Wuhan locked down?  If not someone from the outside who is a carrier comes to town and the whole thing starts all over again.

Nope, they ended their lockdown a month ago (April 8).

That's the entire reasoning for the mass testing - there were a few new clusters, so they need to find the asymptomatic carriers and then do contact tracing/selective isolation from there.

And to their credit, the White House actually understands the testing/contact tracing thing, because it was done when the staffers tested positive.

It's just that they don't think the rest of the US needs or deserves it.

And when an outsider comes to town who is a carrier and hasn't been tested...?

They test everyone.

They also have a health colour code system implemented nationwide.

Here's the full list of travel guidelines that should answer exactly that question:
