Yes I believe people use tithing to scam on others.  Others believe their tithes or whatever they give are used to maintain a church where they can fellowship with others and that's important to them, it's a reasonable expectation - nothing wrong with that.  Personal tithing or giving doesn't even have to go to a church.  And if someone is giving money just because they expect something in return, then I think they're the ones missing the point.

Good discussion going here!

I pay tithes and call it dues. For me it is membership obligation to be allowed into my clubhouse where I and my wife have fellowship with our support network.

My friends and I on the outside seek a religious free zone, just Jesus. It is the spiritual relationship that is important. A shared fellowship in the Holy Spirit.

trump's full endorsement of Qanon.

"President Donald Trump on Wednesday claimed he didn't know much about the right-wing conspiracy theory QAnon but offered praise for its believers, adding that he heard they "like me very much" and "love our country."

"Well I don't know much about the movement, other than I understand they like me very much, which I appreciate," Trump told reporters during a White House briefing. "These are people that don't like seeing what's going on in places like Portland, Chicago and New York and other cities and states. ... I've heard these are people that love our country and they just don't like seeing it."

So does anyone else remember the claim that "Q" interpreted Trump's tweets and speeches to 'find' the 'secret messages' inside them?

Wonder how they are going to spin this?

Hate speech and right wing conspiracy theory...

What really gets me is how twisted it is that the believers are beyond any rational thought and will just see this as more evidence of the deep state etc.

A bit like those who believe 9/11 is a hoax or coverup. I would love to know if it would be possible to move these people from the magical thinking part of psychological growth to a more mature state.

What do you, liberal dems, have to offer that is more positive?

QAnon is possibly the number one search topic on Google. Why is that?

People are seeking more than statistics. They seek the hope of substance, not the declaration of hate.

Lol what? Possibly? It either is or it isn’t.

What makes you think it ‘possibly’ is?

What do you, liberal dems, have to offer that is more positive?“

I think just about anything is more positive than the message that the entire government is secretly run by a cabal of power hungry pedophiles and a virtual civil war is approaching because of it.

That doesn’t sound very positive to me at all.

A 30 second google search showed it to be an entirely false statement. Didn’t even make the top 100. Of course it’s the deep state and google manipulating the search results... Q says so

How are you defining positive?  Things that make you feel tingly in your pants?

I think agendas that promote human rights, access to affordable healthcare, and affordable (and these days safe) education are a Hell of a lot more positive than any of the bullshit Qcumbers jabber about.   You know why?  Because the agendas I listed are real, make people better than they were, and are not some make believe revenge fairytale, like Q.

Besides, I don’t think a call for what is basically a coup-d’etat coupled with an extrajudicial killings of people you don’t like without any real evidence is “positive”   That’s downright evil, actually.  So no, not positive at all.

Try again to come up with a favorable aspect of it other than “it’s gullible folks for Trump”.

"Gullible folks for Trump" represent some 35% of the US population. The rest of his support falls into the "Ubi est mea folks for Trump".

In general, compared to Trump:

Law and order.
Morality.
Equality.
Leadership.
Integrity.

It's not.

Funny, given that you think people are seeking Qanon, a group the FBI has defined as a domestic terror group.

I see that the court has ordered Trump to pay Stormy Daniels' legal costs.  For the benefit of those with selective memory, that's the woman he had an extra-marital affair with and paid off under a false name (by way of his fixer, now FELON) to keep quiet about it.

Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus R. Vance, Jr. has at the core of his most recent filings for trumps taxes. The payments to Ms. Daniels and the tax fraud arising from those payments. The USSC and the court ordering payment to Ms. Daniels legal costs both have those representations at the center of those decisions. i.e. felonious actions cannot bind contracts. Although the DA has now made references to bank and insurance fraud against trump in his filings.

"Following the Supreme Court ruling, the president argued that the subpoena was overly broad and politically motivated. But Marrero said those objections were essentially the same as the earlier immunity arguments.

Marrero wrote that he could not “mechanically credit” the president’s new arguments, likening them to “absolute immunity through a back door.”

Marrero dismissed the case with prejudice, effectively preventing the president from bringing new arguments to the court for why the subpoena should not be enforced.

Vance has been relatively opaque about the subject of his investigation. His office is known to be investigating hush money payments to porn actress Stormy Daniels made on the president’s behalf by his former lawyer Michael Cohen in the run-up to the 2016 election. Daniels has said she had sex with Trump, but he has denied the affair."

Law and order. - And yet we have riots and "peacful Protests" and police being shot at with explosives.
Morality. - And yet we had, and still do have mass lootingin cities. (Granted - at this moment, not as much.
Equality. - Where the BLM movement wants segregation.
Leadership. - And you are putting forth Biden.
Integrity. - And you are putting forth Biden.
