"Nobody knows health care better than Donald Trump.” — Interview with ABC’s “This Week with George Stephanopoulos,” January 30, 2016

"Everybody's got to be covered. . . . . I am going to take care of everybody. I don't care if it costs me votes or not. Everybody's going to be taken care of much better than they're taken care of now … the government's gonna pay for it. " 60 Minutes,” September 27, 2015

"You’re going to have such great health care, at a tiny fraction of the cost—and it’s going to be so easy.” —Campaign rally in Florida, October, 2016

"And it’ll be great health care for much less money. So it’ll be better health care, much better, for less money. Not a bad combination.” — "60 Minutes," November 13, 2016

Share of Americans With Health Insurance Declined in 2018

The drop, despite a strong economy, was the first since 2009

About 27.5 million people, or 8.5 percent of the population, lacked health insurance for all of 2018, up from 7.9 percent the year before, the Census Bureau reported Tuesday. It was the first increase since the Affordable Care Act passed in 2010.

It's probably Obama's fault.

Five additional states are in the process of implementing medicaid expansion, so while that should help lower the number of those without insurance, it could very well be offset by new restrictions and work requirements set to take effect in 2020.

In Michigan for example, there are about 605,000 people that are at risk of losing their health coverage from the medicaid expansion.  242,000 of those people either have a physical or mental disability that limits their ability to either work or find work and could lose their insurance because of it.  Those on SSI with straight medicaid will not be affected, but it's still pretty fucked up tho.

Mr. Trump’s behavior has repeatedly revealed "the extent to which our constitutional system assumes and relies on a president with a modicum of national fidelity, and decent judgment and reasonableness.” ; Jack Goldsmith, who led the Justice Department’s Office of Legal Counsel under President George W. Bush

Yes, unlike a parliamentary system the US presidential system makes it nearly impossible for the leader to be fired for mere incompetence. Given the power afforded to the office this is potentially a disastrous weakness.

It says a lot that Trump makes us wish for the "good old days" of the George W. Bush administration.

Hi folks,

Now, he thinks the Nobel Prize people don't like him.  I wonder why?

Given his repeated comments in reference to Obama getting one, he appears jealous.

Racial tones also noted. His racially toned hatred is sickening.

Time to send in the Bailiffs otherwise known as Sheriff Officers (in Scotland) or Debt Collectors. Who will go to your home or business and remove your goods , possessions or stock if you fail to pay your bills or fines.

Interesting to know that Trumps Aberdeen golf complex has still to turn a profit with the Trump family sinking £43M of "their" own money into this money pit.

The Aberdeen golf complex should not be confused with his Ayrshire golf complex where he gets US aircrews to stop over when they have an unnecessary stop over at Prestwick airport from the USA

Hi folks,

And another new battle:  'Trump picks new fight with Minneapolis mayor'

https://www.politico.com/news/2019/10/08/trump-picks-new-fight-with-minneapolis-mayor-038988

And I love this:

'Should the president's rally in Minneapolis proceed, it wouldn't be the first Trump campaign event to cause fiscal consternation among municipal officials. The campaign has yet to reimburse the city of El Paso, Texas, roughly a half-million dollars for the cost of a rally in February.'

Jerry Baumchen

PS)  If I were mayor, I would not send one cop out to assist/protect him.  Let the cheap bastard get the tomatoes thrown at him.

Man, it's a good thing Oathkeepers - which the  Southern Poverty Law Center described as an extremist hate &anti-govt group, is going to provide protection for the POTUS.

I wonder if POTUS will fire the Secret Service now...

Good news for Trump supporters!  He is finally polling above 50%.  From USA Today:

===========

A poll conducted by NPR/Marist/PBS NewsHour from Oct. 3 to Oct. 8 shows 52% of adults support House Democrats starting an impeachment inquiry into Trump — 43% disapprove.

Recently heard at a Trump rally:

"We're going to defeat socialism and put a man on the face of the moon."

I wonder if anyone is going to tell him that we already put a man on the moon?  Probably not - he'd be fired instantly.

As for the socialism thing - perhaps that's encouragement to Elizabeth Warren to get elected and cancel his massive socialist farm subsidies.
