What is the over/under on Hillary jumping in the mix somewhere?

I actually think if she were to declare as VP for Bernie - it would squash a lot of back and forth, and maybe give the left a chance at beating Trump.

I think that is just an R wet dream!

Yup.

Not really.

I do enjoy the sarcastic banter, and the arguments.

I think we all do.

I have said this before and I'll admit to it all you like -

My focus is pointing out the hypocrisy wherever it may be.

Where I see unrealized bias - I point it out -

The funny thing here is that I am usually willing to admit mine - Why are so few here willing to admit theirs?

Hillary is unelectable because of her history.

Buttgieg is unelectable because of his sexuality.

Warren is probably unelectable because of her gender.

Bernie almost certainly unelectable because 'socialism'.

That's simply the way I see America right now. It's great to talk about gay rights, or empowering women, but there are hundreds of millions of people who simply aren't ready for that yet.

Standing as a candidate is a good start in normalizing those attitudes for the future though.

I could be wrong, but people like her want attention, (Read: Need attention)

People of power crave power.

She's not done yet, me thinks.

If she doesn't run will you finally shut up about her?

It's been nearly 4 years. Let it go, man.

There are certainly a lot of smart guys on here but I'm nowhere in the league of academics as Kallend or BillVon.  I professionally tell people how much construction stuff costs.

Just because you were kicked out of third grade for not shaving and failing your driving test again don't mean you're not smart, too.

That depends on how much she stays in the news.

(Honest as I can be)

How much has she been in the news in the last 3 years??? I can honestly say I've seen less than half a dozen stories about her in the main headlines.

She has a history of putting up with a boatload of crap to stay in power.  That need doesn't just go away.  Wouldn't be surprised to see her as a hail mary near the end of the primaries.

Huh? Your fear of Hillary is as irrational as your tolerance of Trump.

See, that's where you Canukians don't grasp America. Close your eye's and, I assume you've seen Cirque du Soleil, picture her in an unwinding descent down an off huckleberry chiffon cloth, one arm extended out and upwards, beaming a Monica Lewinsky smile, gently touching down into the arms of a phalanx of leotard clad male dancers and announcing she was back to save our nation.

Crap, I'm starting to get watery eyes now.

Is that much worse in a woman than it is in a man?

She was a top student at a very good university, in the early days of militant feminism. She was sold the bill of goods that if she worked hard enough and was qualified, she could aspire to anything.

Then she married, and stayed active professionally. Finally she even had to give up her name because Arkansas politics. She’s First Lady and people hate her because she’s prepared and uncompromising about wanting more than “cookies.”

She wasn’t happy with the leavings. Which of you guys would be happy with the leavings, knowing you were as smart as anyone else there?

After Clinton left office, she moved to NY state and ran for Senate, again for profile, and because she still knows that if you’re in the right place at the right time and you’re prepared, good things happen. And she still has to take the leavings. Yeah, they’re good leavings. Eleanor Roosevelt did way more with fewer leavings.

i don’t envy her; she’s a product of her time and environment as much as anyone else. But she did everything “right,” and never understood that it’s just not always enough.

Do you really think they’re still the majority in actual numbers? Or does it only seem that way because they’re the default authority from 250 years of socialization?

My assessment is based on the fact that most democrats aren't liberal, and your comment about how the "average-left is pretty conservative"

The fact is that a popular vote changes the dynamics completely.  Wouldn't you want to have a better grasp on the demographics before making such a drastic change?

Personally, I don't want a system that would give either side a long reign of power.  Our current system has proven to be fair enough. The problem is that we just need better candidates.

Anyone who picks Hillary as VP is a dead man walking.

Sexist. Are you ruling out a Warren/Clinton or Klobuchar/Clinton ticket?

OK how about a dead person walking?

That said there is no way the Ds would ever have two women on the same ticket.  If a women was at the top of the ticket it would be mayor Pete as VP.  You know, the intersectional Olympics.

Hi Brent,

I agree.  Anyone thinking that Hillary would be on any ticket is living back in 2016.

She got farther than any woman before her; while she did not get elected POTUS, that is still an accomplishment.

Hi Jerry, (I like how you do that so I am copying you)

It looks like it is Bernie right now.  It is said that the Rs fall in line while the Ds fall in love.  Right now the B-man is getting all of the love. (James Carville notwithstanding)

Hi Brent,

Sanders 44.6 %? That is getting to almost be more than a plurality. Get ready for a revolution. I wonder how much dirt the Russians have to give to Trump on Bernie?

Actually the Russian are helping Bernie.
