So... Cory Booker has just announced that he's running. This is gonna be fun. Spartacus vs Pocahontas vs HeelsUpHarris vs who the hell else is running?

So, who you got? :D

That's pretty weak, Billy.  I take it the HeelsUp thing is because she had sex with someone 20 years ago and that's the closest thing to dirt anyone has on her?

Republicans are upset when women have sex, unless women are getting raped, then they just shouldn't have worn a skirt.

I think you mean 'Fauxcahontas' fresh off her apology tour to the Cherokee Nation.

I think the DNC debates are going to be worthy of Alpha House.  But since Clinton isn't there to take over and rig the primary it's anyone's guess at this point.

It's how she got started in politics, by being Willie Brown's lap barbie when he was mayor of San Franfeces and later the speaker of the CA state assembly. Got her two cushy positions, and when she didn't need him anymore she dumped him and left his marriage in tatters.

So... yeah

So she's exactly like any male politician you or I or anyone has ever supported.

You sound jealous.

But his marriage was in tatters long before she came along. but then facts aren't really important in this right?

But how come you don't say these things about any of Trump's wives? They were white and they didn't seek more power than their husband. Guess that fits better with your world view....

Looks like the people he pretended to be included one woman - "Carolin Gallego."  "She" said this -

Yeah....politics is a nasty business. Somehow Billy, you manage to make it even nastier. You definitely have a talent.

2020 Democratic POTUS candidates

The grammy's were pretty interesting last night.  We had great women of music open the show with words of wisdom, like Jada, Jennifer Lopez, Lady Gaga, Alicia Keys . .and, um, Michelle Obama?  When she spoke, it was like a presidential address and the people cheered as if it was some type of rally.  There were also 2 references to how Michelle/Obama rules the world.

I mean wtf is this?  Is she running for president or is this some type of publicity B.S?

Aside from that, it was a remarkable show - one of the best I've seen in awhile.  It was nice to finally see one of these shows without revolving around Trump and all the political innuendo.  I loved the variety and desperate attempt to unite us all through music rather alienate us even more through divisive rhetoric.  It was a blessing indeed.

My favorite parts of the show were Lady Gaga's speech and her thanks to God for looking out for her over the years.  Also,  Jennifer lopez and her Motown Medley was quite remarkable.  Loved it. . .

Honestly, I haven't watched a single Hollywood or Music award show in a long time. Most of the time, they're a liberal shit show.

Hey Billy- did you see this nonsense about people questioning Kamala Harris’ “blackness?”

Haaaaahahahahahah!  They’re starting to eat their own.  It’s gonna be a fun two years.

The Grammys got her because she is popular and would drive up ratings.  The people cheered because she was one of the most beloved first ladies ever.

Surely you know how popular TV works?

This may help. Goes to the points of presidential popularity of the office and ratings.I think President Bush said it best, "dead enders". When the trump ship finally disappears beneath the waves. Even FOX won't be covering it. Its just how ratings work.

Trump, no longer ratings gold, loses his prime-time spot on Fox News

President Donald Trump loves to brag about ratings, but he’s not getting them anymore.

As he’s ramped up his rally schedule ahead of the midterms, viewership numbers for the raucous prime-time events have been roughly similar to — sometimes dipping below — Fox News’ regular programming, and the network has recently stopped airing most evening events in full.

Well, other than a Trump supporter including significant "innuendo". But it was pro-Trump, so you would probably not see it as Political B.S. but as somebody standing up for their opinion.

Ya, I know that her appearance was a surprise, so it wouldn't really have that much of an effect on ratings, which was evidenced by them hitting another new low among the target audience.  That's 2 years in a row now. . .
It just seemed a bit odd to me at first.  What does M.Obama have to do with with the music industry other than that she listens to music?  The only thing that really makes sense is that this is a time when people are starting to wonder who's going to make a presidential bid.

Practically everyone in that crowd would rather see her as president than the guy in office now.  So they put her up on the stage in a position of power and making references about ruling the world.  They plant this idea into peoples heads to mull around and see what happens. . .

Given that she wasn't nominated for anything or being honored, I simply see it as the only way she was going to get any attention whatsoever.

Edit: The below was written with the assumption that the quoted text is a continuation of pondering what Michelle Obama was doing there.

She's being positioned as a public voice for the upcoming election, it's as simple as that.  She has the clout of her husband's administration without actually being Barack Obama which means she can say what Obama would say without all the right wing new outlets painting an opposition target on her back.  To put it this way, if Obama gets on a stage in support of Candidate X the outlets lambaste the candidate for being an Obama clone, the sort of news that rings well.  If Michelle gets up there it's not as click-bait worthy.

Ya, that makes more sense.

And just to be clear, in the part of my post that you quoted, I was talking about Joy Villa, the lady that wore the "build the wall"  dress in skydekker's post, not Michelle Obama.

The list keeps growing... Now we have a fake Hispanic running (Beto)... to go along with a fake native American (Warren), a whore (Harris), Spartacus (Booker), an office rager (Klobuchar), a full blown Socialist and Russian honeymooner (Bernie),  and a bunch of other nobodies.

LMFAO
