Saudi Arabia May Have Helped Man Facing Sex Assault Charge Flee Canada

A 28-year-old Saudi man was facing sexual assault and confinement charges in Canada when the Saudi embassy posted his bail and, all of a sudden, he disappeared.

Mohammed Zuraibi Alzoabi, a 28-year-old man, who was residing in Sydney, Nova Scotia, was charged with a litany of crimes including sexual assault, forcible confinement, assault with a weapon uttering threats, and criminal harassment for two separate incidents that took place in between 2015 and 2017.

After his arrest, a bond of $ $37,500 was posted by the Saudi Arabian embassy for the one-time student at Cape Breton University. Last week, when Alzoabi didn’t appear in front of the court and that money was forfeited.

It’s assumed that Alzoabi was somehow able to jump on a plane to his homeland—a tough feat considering authorities had confiscated his passport. How did he do it? As one prominent immigration lawyer explains, the Saudi embassy from Canada may have played a prominent role.

“In order for this guy to leave Canada without a passport, it had to be facilitated by the Saudi government, or some government, and there’s no reason to believe that any other government would put themselves in this position,...

This seemingly isn’t even the first time that Saudi Arabia has helped one of their citizens flee a country where they are facing charges. According to Oregon Live, in 2017 the Saudi consulate posted a $100,000 bond for Saudi national facing charges regarding a hit-and-run that killed a 15-year-old girl in Portland. Two weeks before he was supposed to go to trial he climbed into a black SUV, was driven to a private airport, cut off his ankle monitor, and disappeared. A prosecutor on that case told HuffPost that in their tenure for a long time an embassy putting up the bond for a citizen was unheard of but that’s starting to change....

Oregon Live reports that there have been upwards of five cases of Saudi nationals having their bonds posted by their embassy and then fleeing. These include two alleged rapists, one man with child pornography on his computer and two people involved in hit-and-runs.”

and from another story on Mr.Mohammed

"Jessica Hines, the manager of Kevin's Towing in Sydney, Cape Breton, described al-Zoabi as "rude, obnoxious and thought he was above women and the rules".

"First time I met him consisted of him coming into my office and snapping his fingers because I didn't greet him quick enough as I was busy," Hines said.

"I immediately marked my dominance by telling him, 'I don't jump for men when they snap their fingers at me', and made him sit and wait for near an hour."

Between March 2012 and April 2016, al-Zoabi racked up 34 infractions ranging from speeding, driving uninsured, driving without a valid license, unregistered and uninspected vehicles. Unpaid to this day, the fines amount to $68,967.

Hi Phil,

THE OREGONIAN, our major newspaper in this state, had a front page story, on the five who fled Oregon, eight days ago.

4 of the 5 had the same defense attorney.  She has been receiving death threats & has closed her practice.  I do not believe that she had anything to do with any of it.

I was talking to my son, who is a defense attorney, and he said, that should this continue, then judge(s) will just up the bail; maybe up to about $500 Million.  That would mean the Saudi gov't would have to put up $5 Million in cash.

F**kn Saudi's. Your son is right. As long as all the prosecutors offices get the message that for Saudi citizens and their government. That skipping bail is a state sponsored game.

IMO and for akarunway. trump, MBS and the whole Saudi state. Believe the sanctions of law for criminal conduct. Don't apply to their entitled asses.

One of Trump's staunchest allies, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia, told one of his aides in 2017 that he would stop Jamal Khashoggi with “a bullet” if he didn't stop criticizing Saudi Arabia.  The conversation was captured by the CIA.

I'm sure Trump will continue to support him.  Reminds me of "I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn’t lose any voters."

Great allies to have.

trump's buddy MBS is on track to acquire nuclear missiles. trump approves!

The Saudi government is nearing completion of a new missile development and manufacturing base.

Satellite images show Saudi Arabia constructs missiles factory

and

Saudi Arabia’s missile race   A new rocket factory is stoking fears of nuclear proliferation

While trump and his sidekick Rick Perry pursue a 16 reactor, $80 billion deal with MBS.

Selling Saudis the Nuclear Rope to Hang US

Trump's silence on a Saudi nuclear bomb

Why Saudi Arabia Will Acquire Nuclear Weapons

" The Saudi regime insists on producing its own nuclear fuel, which would be different from terms the United States has negotiated with some other states, including the United Arab Emirates, that have sought U.S. assistance in developing their nuclear programs. The Saudis have balked at comprehensive international inspections to detect any work on nuclear weapons. And Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MbS) has explicitly threatened to develop nuclear weapons, ostensibly in response to any similar development by Iran. "

The Crown Prince May Build Himself a Nuclear Kingdom

U.S. lawmakers seek oversight over any Saudi nuclear power deal

" Saudi Arabia could use nuclear power to develop a weapons program mounted after the crown prince told CBS in an interview in March that his kingdom would develop nuclear weapons if its archrival Iran did. .

The talks have slowed as Saudi pushed for relaxing nonproliferation guidelines, known as the “gold standard,” that could allow it to enrich uranium or reprocess fuel waste. Those processes raise concerns because they have potential to create quantities of uranium and plutonium that could be used in nuclear bombs. "

Which is OK because MBS is courting a known proliferator of reprocessing and bomb technology.

Pakistan will always stand by Saudi Arabia      From the Saudi Gazette

. $20 billion investment is phase one: Saudi Crown Prince

"Pakistan and Saudi Arabia usher in a new era of bilateral relationship by signing investment deals worth more than $20 billion during visit of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who arrived in Islamabad on Sunday.

The unprecedented Saudi investment is seen as a 'game changer' and major boost for Pakistan's struggling economy, which now gets a much-needed breather space to negotiate better terms and conditions with International Monetary Funds."

With MBS on track to spend $100-150 billion to get nuclear armed ballistic missiles. There should be no doubts as to how favorably MBS will favor his sponsor, trump. For holding Iran back while the Saudi program gets on track.

How does SA get so many passes?

They buy them.

Bingo.

Why do you think Trump really ditched the Iran nuke deal?

They were in compliance. They were actually starting to behave and act like 'good neighbors'. Gaining prestige and influence in the region.

Which challenges Saudi Arabia's power. In a 'fair' competition, SA might actually have to start following international rules. You know, not murdering dissidents in foreign countries, respecting human rights in their own country, not supporting vicious rebels in the region. That sort of stuff.

They don't want to do that.
And the "Trump family" does business in SA. And wants to do more.

So Iran goes back to being a pariah, SA kills Kashoggi and gets away with it, and now...

Wants nukes.

What could possibly go wrong with that. Its not like there have ever been any terrorist acts committed by Saudi nationals in the US...

Oh, wait.

But its not like they were aided in any way by the SA government...

Oh, wait.

Oh my.

I thought a Trump administration would be a bad idea.
I really had no idea that it could get this bad.

Of course.  Keep in mind that Trump bowed to the Saudi king.  His allegiances are pretty clear.

In this case allegiance to the Benjamins. But it appears as if the Dems want to ruin the trump-MBS brofest.

Dems launch investigation into Trump administration's dealings with Saudi Arabia

" Democrats on the House Oversight and Reform Committee announced Tuesday they are launching an investigation into the Trump administration’s dealings with Saudi Arabia after several whistleblowers expressed concern about efforts to sell the kingdom nuclear technology. ...

senior White House officials pushed for the sale of nuclear technology to Saudi Arabia despite warnings from ethics advisers and national security officials to stop.  ...

The report cites several unnamed whistleblowers who said they witnessed “abnormal acts” inside the White House regarding efforts to sell Saudi Arabia nuclear energy reactors.

The whistleblowers “have warned of conflicts of interest among top White House advisers that could implicate federal criminal statutes,”

House report lays bare White House feud over Saudi nuclear push

" A consulting firm once linked to former national security adviser Michael Flynn is continuing to push President Donald Trump to endorse a plan to build nuclear reactors in Saudi Arabia, despite warnings from whistleblowers that their earlier efforts appeared to violate U.S. law, House Democrats said in a report Tuesday....

a meeting with Trump last week where executives from companies such as Westinghouse, General Electric, Exelon, Centrus Energy, NuScale, TerraPower and LightBridge pitched the president to help them win contracts in the Middle East and elsewhere. The Trump administration is already on board with that effort, and Energy Secretary Rick Perry traveled to Saudi Arabia as recently as December to discuss a nuclear power deal ...

But IP3 executives were preparing to move ahead with a deal to build nuclear plants in Saudi Arabia without an agreement to limit the country's program to a civilian energy production, according to the House report.

Based on accounts and documents provided by whistleblowers, the report said one of IP3’s top officials delivered the firm's nuclear plan to Flynn on Jan. 28, 2017 to pass along to Trump, and another document at the same time for Trump to recommend to the National Security Council. The firm kept pushing its idea through various channels even though political and career officials warned it circumvented national security protocol.

In another letter to Salman, IP3's co-founders boasted of the inroads the firm had made with the Trump administration,"

Evidently Saudi consular limo's were pulling up to the back door of the WH and wheelbarrows filled with Benjamins were getting carted up to the Lincoln bedroom. trump parks it under a little plaque in that room: “Always bear in mind that your own resolution to succeed is more important than any one thing.”

It would have been fun to hear what the right wing would have done if the Obama administration was discovered trying to illegally sell nuclear technology to Saudi Arabia.

-" MBS bragged to the Emirati crown prince and others that Kushner was “in his pocket,” the source told The Intercept. Saudi Crown Prince Boasted That Jared Kushner Was “In His Pocket”, November 2017

U.S. Makes Shortlist for Saudi Nuclear-Plant Deal

Mr. Perry told reporters Wednesday the kingdom recently made a decision that keeps U.S. businesses— foremost Westinghouse Electric Co.—in the mix for what could ultimately become a market worth tens of billions of dollars. ...

The administration has felt pressure to help the U.S. nuclear industry land a deal for new business at a time when its domestic market is rapidly shrinking. The Saudis, for their part, have used the competition to try to drive better terms and protect their own right to enrich uranium or reprocess spent fuel. "

So I'll summarize. The US nuclear industry is shrinking. Poor Jared Kushner can't get financing for his building because its loosing money. Brookfield takes a 99 year lease on the building to help Jared get financing on his (previously) money loosing property. Then Brookfield buys into a money and shrinking nuclear reactor building company, Westinghouse.

Viola, Westinghouse is shortlisted and promoted by trump to the Saudi's to buy 18 reactors. Without restrictions on reprocessing.

Except for those pesky Dems and whistle-blowers.
