Free fall Radio instruction

Recommended Posts

I haven't been jumping in a long time and want to get in the air again. May years ago I jumped with a team called Alchemy in Perris Valley. They had these incredible radio systems they used for free fall communication, which were so much better than hand signals.
I spent countless number of jumps trying to do head down and was never perfect vertical , one jump with the in air communication system and they got me head down.
So my question is , is there anyone today using this system?

You can use Senna or Cardo Packtalk for in air communication. They are designed for motorcycle packs so also kinda work well in the wingsuit/CReW environment. The newer ones have a mesh network that allows for autoreconnects and improved range.

I haven't seen anyone really using it at Perris outside of the wingsuiters. The one exception is an angle coach who I have seen with one. It's possible but you would need to find a coach who has the setup for it.
