Sigma loop lenght

Recommended Posts

Hi everybody, other than the pin extraction force on the skyhook document and the stagging loop 1" shorter than the loop, and the 1/2 to 3/4" of loop excess over the pilot chute, there is any other measure info of the UPT Sigma reserve loop ?, around there.
Thanks

Bill Booth said: “There is no need to install a reserve closing loop more than 4.5” long [on Vector 3, Micron or Sigma].”

It is amazing how many different reserve containers close neatly with 4.5” loops. I measure Cypres loops from the disc to the top of the loop. I don”t bother with pre-stretching Cypres loops. I just tie them .5” too short with the expectation that they will stretch the last .5” as I close the reserve container.

I found that Micro Sigmas are easier to close with 5” loops.

If you have the time to make one....a lodi loop is the bomb. The big rigs (tandems) seems to settle quite a bit and the crowning of the pc cap starts to show. When the loop is too long, it starts to serpentine thru the grommets. The lodi loop allows you to snug that shit up. The rig looks so much better this way.

But I'm sure I'll get an ear full from those that say it's not allowed.
my pics & stuff!
