No, no problem. I just don't deal with the whole cattle car thing very well. I guess it's part of being spoiled, even at work I didn't have to deal with other people much more than I wanted to. i've only flown commercial twice in my life and I hated it both times, and that was before 9/11. If I need to then sure, I will but I'm fortunate enough that I don't need to fly for work or to visit family. And our favorite vacation spots are in Wisconsin and in Gulf Shores Alabama and either of those are easy drives. In fact, when you figure in having to rent a car and pare down what you take I think it's easier to drive to both. And the fact that the nearest airport is a little over 100 miles away doesn't help. That's not a big factor but they add up. It's like getting a root canal, I can if I have to, but I'd rather not.

I agree completely.
And to make matters worse, although I am only 6'1", I have an unusual torso:leg length ratio, meaning I have the legs of a person at least 6'4". The last time I flew commercial my knees were pressed hard against the back of the seat in front of me, then to make matters worse the idiot in front of me kept trying to recline his seat, jamming it even harder into my knees. It was damned near impossible to explain to him there was no space to recline his seat.

Whoever came up with the idea of making tightly spaced seats recline, should be given 100 lashes.>:(

Right.....only go there for the articles.....

Don't look at me. I've never been to Hawaii.

I have. You should go. Especially Maui. Bucket List. Worth it.

Unfortunately, never flying commercial again is already on my bucket list. It's a long way from Southeast Ohio to Hawaii.
OK I am curious. That seems an odd thing to aspire to - why? (If you don't mind me asking?)

Well, to be fair... We flew first class there and back. American Airlines. Way better than the shitshow United is.
