The arrogance of assuming that your world view is so good that you can identify what's true, and only need to look for proof, is overwhelming. That technique is for a court of law. And a court of law addresses legal guilt or innocence. It might establish what actually happened, but there are enough exonerations to make it clear that truth isn't necessarily established just by making assumptions and looking for proof of them. One has to also question one's assumptions, because actual truth is better than legal truth. Wendy P.There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence. (tbrown)
