Good hi-top jump shoes?

Any suggestions for hi-top jump shoes? Nike 6" SFB looks like a posibility. I'm thinking something between Chucks and light hiking boots. Not too chunky, some ankle support, comfy, solid, yada yada yada.

Get cheep walmart shoes. There is no point in destroying expensive shoes. Also you need a smooth bottom so you can get those sweet slide in landings!

The only ones I would recommend are Chucks. An off-brand with similar style and smooth sole would work too.

You can get them at discount shoe stores for a pretty good price.

I've been rockin a pair of UnderArmor basketball shoes purchased from a local discount sporting goods store (Big 5). They are awesome when landing on wet grass (slide forever!)

I would stay away from any hi-top with aggressive tread, scary for the ankles...

5.10 Freerider Mid Tops. $100. Very good shoe, provides some protection and has slick bottom for sliding out landings, but made of grippy Stealth rubber for movement in aircraft, etc.

Any outdoor basketball shoes, period. Excellent foot stabilisation and ankle protection, flat bottom with big surface.

I'm going to suggest 5.10 also. I have a pair of high-top Guide Tennies that are great for jumps. Solid ankle support (they prevented more than one ankle roll in my first year when I was still recovering from a busted fibula). The Stealth Dotty rubber sticks to the floor of the plane but slides on the grass. Reinforced rubber toe cap, too. Several color combos to choose from.

The ones I got are the leather ones, third color. They're ideal any time I need to actually do stuff. Skate, skydive, even acceptable as motorcycle boots. They cost me $20 on sale at Payless.

Edit: wow, just ordered another 2 pair for $37.48 with promo code. I feel like such a boss.
