U.S. Air Force low-profile parachute

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I found this picture ( http://c8.alamy.com/comp/J6EN0G/the-low-profile-parachute-is-configured-for-use-in-ac-130-gunships-J6EN0G.jpg ) on this site ( http://www.alamy.com/stock-photo-the-low-profile-parachute-is-configured-for-use-in-ac-130-gunships-141694688.html ) showing a new low-profile parachute system used by the U.S. Air Force to replace an old system called BA-22. It has a Cypres AAD. :)
I am little curious: What are the functions of the black hose and the green / red handle?

It looks like that the red handle is connected to a yellow cutaway cable which is also visible on both capewell release system assemblies (200% zoomed in). The green handle could be also connected to the release system. So both handles need to be pulled to cut the only canopy away (prevent an accidentially cutaway)? Green or red firs or it doesn't matter?
