Skyventure

Recommended Posts

I can tell you that they do not always look for skydivers. We are opening a Skyventure in NH and the people that we picked just needed to be fit and have a good attitude. We looked for team players that can play well with others! Orlando prefers to not hire skydivers. You can send your name to Skyventure corporate and ask them to forward your email to the skyventure that you are interested in.
You can also go to www.skyventure.com and see the upcoming locations.
Colorado is starting construction next.
Good Luck.

For those who have discussed SkyVenture instructor positions: It's easier to get than you think, it's just about applying at the right time (there might be positions available now). Skydiving experience isn't important. You'll make twice the minimum wage and can expect to fly 50-100 hours per year.

Ouch, 2x min. wage. [:/]
But the 50 hours of tunel time is worth about $32K. ;)

Didn't see it here in the posts, but I just returned from the tunnel in Vegas, and was told it was going to close in May. I guess it was sold, and a casino is going up.[:/] I was told this after buying enough time for a free session, but was told I needed to use it before that date. Of course I just popped back in to finish my time...

There was previous chat of SV instructors making minimum wage, which is incorrect. I the 2x disappoints you, just remember these are not IT professionals. Ask the other tunnels (including SkyVentures) what they pay their instructors.:P

I had a really good conversation with Omar a few months ago about what to expect as an instructor, and he really spoke openly about the risk versus reward of working in the tunnel.

Honestly, money shouldn't be a priority, it's all about wanting to be part of a great team of people and making the tunnel successful.

Skyventure employees start out at around 1.5 X minimum wage but if they stick it out they will bump that up rather quickly. within a year they can be making good money (relevant to Florida’s cost of living compared to the north east where I am from) Plus if you are on these forms all day then obviously skydiving is more then a hobby, This is a career path and the networking you do by meeting major product company owners, skydiving icons and champions is worth what ever they pay you !!! The guys and girls that work there are totally awesome and want to help in any way possible. There are so many perks that come with that job it’s crazy. I cant say enough good things about the company or staff. There isn’t a better place to work in the industry, period!
