OWB 8 #1 November 18, 2013 I just learned of the passing in September of Bill Mehr, longtime resident of Orange Ma, after a mercifully short battle with ALS. Bill was a jumper and pilot "back in the day" during the PI days of Orange and later ran his own air taxi service there. He occasionally flew jumpers as late as the late 90's after Jumptown opened. When I shattered my foot in 2000 in a landing accident, Bill was one of the two guys that bothered to periodically call and check on me to see how I was healing. A true gentleman and all around class act. Any old guys left with Bill stories out there? Don't worry about nuthin' cause nothin's gonna be okay. OWB 8 #2 November 25, 2013 Add Rigger to Bill's resume. I was recently entrusted with a pile of OLD gear. While examining it, I found a packing data card with Bill's signature. Right below some guy named Embry. Don't worry about nuthin' cause nothin's gonna be okay.
