I hadn't seen Joe in a good many years, but I looked up an old logbook from my Upstate NY years Back In The Day, and found his signature there. I recall him being one of my early jumpmasters as a student, and a patient and helpful mentor when I was learning how to fly, never copping an attitude with newer jumpers like a skygod. Glad to see he stayed part of our community. He helped build the foundation of what we all have today, and for that I am grateful.

Blue skies, Joe.
