Hurricanes Harvey, Irma...Jose...Katia.

Too soon and in the wrong part of the world. As bad as it is God hammered Bangladesh even harder this season. But of course their suffering is not relevant here. Hurricanes are ordinary events. I'm looking for a sign. A real sign.

Maybe Donald vs Kim in the ring. That could spill over to the Holy Land!

You laugh now Mark, but just look here:

There is a real countdown clock and a video I'm afraid to look at. But it appears to start with a young virgin girl laying down with a lion. I kid you not. This is serious stuff. As Dave Barry would say, I am not making this up.

Don't worry about Irma. Per beloved right wing commentator Rush Limbaugh, there is no hurricane. It's all a liberal lie by lying liberals, no more true than climate change is. (And of course, also by the lying storeowners who just want to sell bottled water.)

I hope you have prepared adequately for safe haven. It is not looking too good for your area at this time.

All of my wife's family, except one son in the Savannah area, are in FL. We are praying.

Can you please cite where he said this. I'm having trouble finding it.

Rush Limbaugh spent a major portion of his show yesterday debunking this made up lie by the liberal media by misquoting what he stated earlier regarding hurricane Irma.

“There is a symbiotic relationship between retailers and local media, and it’s related to money,” Limbaugh said as the storm was growing ever stronger. “It revolves around money. You have major, major industries and businesses which prosper during times of crisis and panic, such as a hurricane, which could destroy or greatly damage people’s homes, and it could interrupt the flow of water and electricity.”

Hurricane Irma warnings are a conspiracy to make climate change look real, says Rush Limbaugh

The liberal media also helps out by tricking people into buying batteries, the right-wing radio host said

Rush Limbaugh’s dangerous suggestion that Hurricane Irma is fake news
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2017/09/06/rush-limbaughs-dangerous-suggestion-that-hurricane-irma-is-fake-news/?utm_term=.8fdd166bbdce

His exact statements:
...So there is a desire to advance this climate change agenda, and hurricanes are one of the fastest and best ways to do it. You can accomplish a lot just by creating fear and panic. You don’t need a hurricane to hit anywhere. All you need is to create the fear and panic accompanied by talk that climate change is causing hurricanes to become more frequent and bigger and more dangerous, and you create the panic, and it’s mission accomplished, agenda advanced.

Now, how do you do this? Well, any number of ways. Let’s take south Florida television, for example. There is symbiotic relationship between retailers and local media, and it’s related to money. It revolves around money. You have major, major industries and businesses which prosper during times of crisis and panic, such as a hurricane, which could destroy or greatly damage people’s homes, and it could interrupt the flow of water and electricity. So what happens?

Well, the TV stations begin reporting this and the panic begins to increase. And then people end up going to various stores to stock up on water and whatever they might need for home repairs and batteries and all this that they’re advised to get, and a vicious circle is created. You have these various retail outlets who spend a lot of advertising dollars with the local media."

The local media, in turn, reports in such a way as to create the panic way far out, which sends people into these stores to fill up with water and to fill up with batteries, and it becomes a never-ending repeated cycle. And the two coexist. So the media benefits with the panic with increased eyeballs, and the retailers benefit from the panic with increased sales, and the TV companies benefit because they’re getting advertising dollars from the businesses that are seeing all this attention from customers."

Subsequently Rush has tried to walk back his statements. He is out saying he never said any of this.

States that went for Trump:

Florida - Irma
Texas - Harvey
Louisiana - Harvey
Georgia - Irma
S. Carolina - Irma
Montana - massive fires
Arizona - slowly being roasted

Good job none of them want federal bail-outs.

>Can you please cite where he said this.

He's doubling down on this now.

"The views expressed by the host of this program documented to be almost always right 99.8 percent of the time. There is a reason for that because we engage in a relentless and unstoppable pursuit of the truth and we find and proclaim it and that happens to drive people crazy.”

A few decades ago he wrote a few books that were pretty intelligent. I disagreed with his conclusions, but his claims were based in fact and were well reasoned.

What happened to him?

He's not a journalist, he's an entertainer.

He doesn't report news, he tells his audience what they want to hear.

Liberals are stupid and want to destroy the country.
Climate change is a hoax perpetrated by stupid liberals to destroy the country.
The coming hurricane is being greatly exaggerated by stupid liberals to hype climate change to destroy the country.

Facts, intelligence or reason have no place in that argument.

So he's abandoned them.
