wolfriverjoe 1,486 #3 April 3, 2017 No. Trump is president. He has the "right" to get consent for his nominee. They didn't give "consent" to Obama and his nominee because... Looking through Harry Reid's glasses...it looks just fine. Bingo here are just using the Reid rule. The one he used to stack the DC court! That said Getting rid of the stupid rule puts them back were they were just 70 years ago or so. The OP here has no idea of what he posts....... The only hypocrisy shown is from the Dems. The OP needs to remember that advise and consent was to make sure a pick was qualified. It was not meant to push for an ideology (which the Dems are doing now) He is exceptionally qualified. The vote should be a no brainer. But then, Schumer is a no brainer......."America will never be destroyed from the outside, if we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves." DanG 1 #13 April 4, 2017 Actually, GWB was an avid runner. Anyway, I suspected that Rush would pull a full 180 and I was not disappointed. As usual for him, R's can do no wrong, and if it looks like they are doing wrong it is only because D's did it first. When D's do the same thing, however, he's outraged and tries to make a noble Constitutional argument. The hypocrisy is staggering. - Dan G

If Republicans do it, no matter what it is, he defends it to the death. He makes excuses, blames other people, claims "but Clinton did it first" etc. And when it finally falls apart completely, he says "well I never supported it to begin with." If Democrats do it, no matter what it is, it is bad. It's evil, unconstitutional, illegal etc. And if it is so good that there's no way to do that, then he credits republicans for it. Rushmc doesn't do 180s. Like Alice, he does "mirrors", which are "improper" in that parity is not conserved. (Yes, I used to teach this stuff)....
