New HHS secretary - tattoos are for drug users

Recommended Posts

So the latest Trump appointee, John Fleming (secretary for health technology at the Department of Health and Human Services) can tell what problems you are going to have by what's on your skin. If you have only one, of an acceptable type, it just means you're dumb - but if you have more than that, look out because you're probably a drug addict.

================
Body art comes into play in drug addiction as well, although obviously, not all who have a tattoo are addicts. A sailer who gets a single tattoo on his arm or an adult woman who has a small butterfly tattooed on her lower abdomen are not necessarily drug addicts or even rebellious — just dumb, at least temporarily!

On the other hand, kids who seek a more substantial expression through body art do tend to get involved in drugs.
=================

Will make diagnosis much simpler.

Could be that getting tattoos are an addiction. I have heard several folks say that as soon as they walked out of the tattoo parlor they wanted another one. One addiction leads to another.

I've had that exact same feeling...about cheeseburgers, beers, sex, motorcycles, my children, hot rods, aircraft...I'm not addicted to any of those things.
I have 3 tatts and I don't expect to get any additional ones although sometimes I would like more on my sleeve. Probably not though as I have more desirable things to spend my money on these days.
I've seen both sides with people's behavior about tatts as well as drugs. Some try that first time and never go back.

This whole nonsense reminds of when I was in the Navy, the chiefs were of the belief if you parted your hair down the middle you were a druggie.
It was as entirely false as this nonsense is.

Ok take this with a grain of salt because of the source. I don't know how reliable VICE is. These traits are reported in other websites. Which of course means absolutely nothing, re, the environmental thread, rushmc, etc.

"Why opiates are proof of God's existence: "Were it not for these drugs, many common and miraculous surgeries would be impossible to either undergo or perform. In my opinion this is no coincidence at all. Only a higher power and intellect could have created a world in which substances like opiates grow naturally."

How pornography can lead to fear of dick: "Another recent example I can cite is that of an adult woman who was allowed to see a pornographic movie as a child. As an adult, she has suffered from a phobia to male genitalia."

On whether Goths are predisposed to drug addiction: "Goths usually smoke cigarettes and many practice an odd sort of devil worship, although kids in the 'punk' culture may not have any interest in these non-mainstream beliefs. Not all Goths are drug addicts, but a high percentage experiment with all types of drugs, including hallucinogens... When you see that your child has become interested in body art or has a fascination with the Goth or other subculture, then be on alert, because your child is likely headed into rebellion and possible drug experimentation."

Fleming was known for believing an Onion story about Planned Parenthood building an $8 billion "abortionplex" was real, and propagating phony information he read on Breitbart on the House floor. BuzzFeed also pointed out that in an interview, Fleming recounts making his 16-year-old son take a breathalyzer test every time he came home after he caught him drinking. "Believe it or not, the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Psychological Association have come out against the use of home breathalyzer and drug testing," Fleming said, but then called his parenting techniques "necessary in today's environment."

Sounds as if he and trump are two peas in a pod. I can see why he was appointed to lead a govt. dept.

The one type of tattoo that is a true give-away are “stars” tattoos; they permanently mark the unimaginative.

When I see these, I assume the people showed up to the tattoo parlour with no idea/plan and after looking at some examples just said “I don't know; ehh fuckit just give me some stars

I've always thought that anyone who simply picks a piece of flash off the wall for ink is doing it for entirely wrong reasons and will most likely regret it.
But some humans are impulsive and some have addictive personalities.

Humans, what are you gonna do?

Like my wife and shoes.

Or my kids and video games.

Or me after acquiring a nice watch.

Guess we better all go to rehab.

Most truck drivers I know were also fucked up, which is why they became truck drivers. Now they literally get to watch life pass them by - families traveling to their vacation destinations and all that. . .

You know, you just keep pegging away like a bully. But you never answered my questioned in the other thread. Where did this Ron guy ever predict that the end of the world was last year?

Please excuse me, I tend to get a bit defensive when my fellow sheep are attacked. (not that Ron needs my protection)

The ability to identify with others, even though you don't share every belief, is what keeps a people together. And America is a whole lot of people -- even the ones we disagree with.

Thanks for posting that. By stating something you're for, rather than against, it's much easier to build coalitions.
