That said, I think representatives who do meet with constituents deserve politeness. Just as the Tea Party protestors gave. :|

Agreed

Also, we now know that it is NOT just the Republicans avoiding town halls

Quote

NEW YORK (AP) -- From Montana to West Virginia, the nation's most vulnerable Senate Democrats are avoiding town hall meetings as their Republican counterparts get pummeled by an energized electorate frustrated with President Donald Trump's early agenda.

Most of them are bussed in protestors

Paid professionals

There is no need to pay people. There are plenty of angry people ready to confront this debacle for free. And their number is increasing. Rapidly. The Trump agenda is going to be stopped. By R politicians fearful being associated with the orange skinned lying liar and his band of racists. They are already seeing which way the wind is blowing and running for cover.

Angry leftist just show up in forums......

you are a perfect example

>So, since we now know that Democrats are hiding too

The old Rush two-step; as regular and predictable as angry Trump tweets.

"They're not hiding from anyone."
"OK so maybe they're hiding, but it's because all the protesters are paid liberal shills."
"OK maybe they're not - but democrats do it too!"

Wait, if all the protesters at town halls are paid Democratic shills, why would Democratic Congressmen be avoiding town halls, too?

Both narratives can't exist at the same time.

Sure can, in Looking Glass World.

Even Dan's own news service has the answer!

"Democrats reportedly plan total war on Trump
Senior Democratic officials reportedly say that they will adhere to the call from their liberal base and take an all-out-war stance against President Trump.

The New York Times reported Thursday that there was a time when Democrats were divided on their Trump approach. Trump did win former blue states in his November victory and Democrats in those states witnessed a new vulnerability.

The report, however, said that protests and angry emails have prompted Democrats to "cast aside any notion of conciliation with the White House.”

But since Democrat Senators already know what must be done its redundant to get more feedback from the base. They are to busy getting insider tips from the WH and FBI. They have to directly disseminate those tips of trump wrongdoing.

Once again, the twin weapons of Rush's lazer focussed reasoning and razor sharp wit cut through that logical conundrum like a Rabbi through a foreskin.

Wow! Talk about thread-drift. All the way from the politics of politics to quantum mechanics - the Pauli Exclusion Principle, mirror symmetries and parity violations in Quantum Electrodynamics!

(....admittedly, a very loose interpretation!)

Another 100 companies pull advertising from Breitbart

Niamh McIntyre
The Independent
Feb 26 2017

Another 100 companies have reportedly pulled their advertising from the far-right news site Breitbart, as the momentum builds behind a grassroots campaign calling on advertisers to boycott the site.

Audi, Visa, T Mobile and Lufthansa have joined the growing list of companies to withdraw, according to Sleeping Giants, the group behind the campaign, which claims that at least 1,250 advertisers no longer wish to be associated with it.

Campaigners have successfully encouraged Twitter users to name and shame companies who advertise on the site by posting screenshots of Breitbart ads.

As advertising is often purchased through third-party agencies, companies may be completely unaware that their ads will end up on the Breitbart site.

. . .

This announcement comes after a week of bad press for Breitbart.

On Tuesday, Milo Yiannopoulos, a senior editor and well known figurehead for the site, was forced to resign his position after remarks surfaced in which seemed to condone paedophilia.

a. I just had to fix the spelling in the title. Bugs me.

Here's a link to some of the most tabloid-like opinion-driving (as opposed to reporting) stories in Breitbart under Bannon.

They are not a news agency, they are an opinion company. Ergo, their job is to drive your opinion, not to report stuff. So if you prefer to get data from a company that has as its business model the presentation of only the data that supports their opinions, so be it.

There are a lot of news media out there. Few of them put Soros as anything different from the Koch brothers or Sheldon Adelson in terms of putting his money where his political mouth is. The fact that you choose to believe only the ones that do, and disregard anything that doesn't confirm your current opinions, says more about you than about the truth. The truth about a complex situation is nearly always complex; if it's simple, then there's a whole lot missing.
