Republican congressional leaders publically backstabbing the Trump Administration leaders of the DOJ, who are responding in kind, is the sort of thing you think shows them all in a good light, is it?Do you want to have an ideagasm? tkhayes 115 #2678 May 15, 2018 Flynn's indictment is wide and varied. 5 pages actually. Yes, part of the indictment could be found to be false or untrue as happens in many criminal charges..... i.e. found guilty on 12 of 13 counts. Of course, the indictment itself is public record, I assume you have read it.... oh wait, of course, not, why would you bother looking things up when Fox can feed you the synopsis so easily? https://www.justice.gov/file/1015126/download

He is probably going away for a long, long time - and it couldn't happen to a nicer criminal. ============================= Federal judge rejects Manafort's bid to dismiss Mueller indictment By JOSH GERSTEIN 05/15/2018 Politico A federal judge on Tuesday rejected an attempt by Paul Manafort, a former Trump campaign chairman, to get an indictment against him dismissed by claiming that special counsel Robert Mueller’s appointment was flawed. In a blow to Manafort’s defense, U.S. District Court Judge Amy Berman Jackson ruled that Mueller’s prosecution of the longtime political consultant on charges of money laundering and failing to register as a foreign agent for a Ukrainian political party was “squarely” within the authority that Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein granted to Mueller last May. “The indictment falls squarely within that portion of the authority granted to the Special Counsel that Manafort finds unobjectionable: the order to investigate ‘any links and/or coordination between the Russian government and individuals associated with the campaign,’” Jackson wrote. “Manafort was, at one time, not merely ‘associated with,’ but the chairman of, the Presidential campaign, and his work on behalf of the Russia-backed Ukrainian political party and connections to other Russian figures are matters of public record,” the judge added. “It was logical and appropriate for investigators tasked with the investigation of ‘any links’ between the Russian government and individuals associated with the campaign to direct their attention to him.” ================================

jakee 1,241 #2689 May 16, 2018 rushmcThere is plenty of information being reported. Fortunately, shortly, I think most of it will be proven with the inspector general report comes out shortly. All we need do is wait! So lets get this straight Rush - you're exepcting an accurate and impartial report from the Obama-appointed Inspector General of the DoJ, which will expose the nefarious democrat conspiracy engaged in by the Trump-appointed Deputy AG and the Special Prosecutor appointed by him, Republican Bob Mueller, who was previously a Bush-appointed FBI director? In short, you believe that Obama appointed fair, honourable and non-partisan administrators of government, while successive republican presidents have appointed administrators so slimey and untrustworthy they conspire against their own benefactors?Do you want to have an ideagasm? tkhayes 115 #2700 May 18, 2018 Maybe Russia had no intentions of supporting one or the other, but was happy with any level of distrust and disruption within our system. That actually sounds more plausible. But if your campaign got wrapped up in any of that, directly or indirectly, it is still worthy of investigation (ongoing) and quite possibly leads to crimes, (also underway with dozens of indictments and many guilty pleas) I see that Fox news managed to report the Manafort son-in-law plea, but hid it rather well from any front pages or headlines.....
