White House Press Secretary is continuing the lies.
Unreal.
Oh, and our tax system was described as a tale of buddies drinking beer together and sharing the tab.

*Edited for crazy fingers.

Its somewhat stunning that she would go on and on with that stupid analogy. First its a lie posing a a simplistic example. Second, its length from the spokeswoman of the WH is simply retarded.

On and on, just to poke fun at journalists, to distract and mislead. I guess if the purpose is to get people to tune off and tune out.

Trump's (and Huckabee's) claim is that the Manafort offenses predated his association with the campaign.

From the indictment:

25. In September 2016, after numerous recent press reports concerning MANAFORT, the Department
of
Justice informed MANAFORT, GATES, and
DMI
that it sought to determine whether they had acted as agents
of
a foreign principal under the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA), without registering. In November 2016 and February 2017, MANAFORT, GATES, and DMI caused false and misleading letters to be submitted to the Department
of
Justice, which mirrored the false cover story set out above. The letters, both
of
which were approved by MANAFORT and GATES before they were submitted, represented, among other things, that

Charges issued by Grand Juries are a long way from convictions. Remember, innocent until proven guilty. (snicker, snicker, snicker......)

And of course they already have an admission... one which so far is the most damming of the revelations for Trump.

I still think it would take a literal smoking gun for the Republicans to do anything about Trump. And even then only reluctantly.

I bet Sean Spicer is sitting in his office laughing his arse off at the moment.

And, conversely, a guilty plea by a former Trump aide is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to this investigation. Aaron Zelinsky (from the special counsel's office) said this during the Papadopoulos plea agreement hearing: "The criminal justice interest being vindicated here is there's a large-scale ongoing investigation of which this case is a small part."

Well, since no one that I know of has been shot, there never will be a literal smoking gun.

However, this was how it was back in the Watergate-era. It took a symbolic smoking gun until the House took action. The R's simply did not want to impeach one of their own. They were dragged kicking & screaming towards impeaching one of their own.

And, I doubt that the D's would do anything different.

Sooner or later you will be reminding all of us that Trump was never your guy anyway. And that your country is so much better off with President Pence at the helm.
Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.

Marc,

Stand firm Brother. They have nothing but logic and facts to support their absurd positions. Good grammar and advanced degrees will always wilt in the face of determined cutting and pasting.

Soon their folly will be apparent for all to see and you will be surely granted your due. You go girl!

I must be missing something because I'm really not seeing any 'bombshells.'

Two people were indicted for being crooks. If I'm reading all this right they were being investigated for this stuff before Trump was even a candidate.

"I only hire the best people, serious people". I guess there's some doubt about the accuracy of that claim now.

Count #1 of the Manafort indictment covers activities through 2017.

Quote

One guy was charged with 'making a false statement' which is what they charge you with when they essentially have nothing but the investigators have careers to save and want to try to leverage someone. Apparently the charge and 'guilty' plea was actually a month ago and Papadop has been acting as a CI under his plea agreement.

Third, a paragraph in the plea agreement indicates that Mr. Papadopoulos pleaded guilty on Oct. 5 and the plea was sealed so that he could act as a “proactive cooperator.” The meaning of that phrase is unclear. But one nerve-racking possible implication is that Mr. Papadopoulos has recently worn a wire in conversations with other former campaign officials. This will surely have members of Mr. Trump’s inner circle agonizing about the possibility and wondering who else might have been similarly cooperating with the investigation.

One of the most important factors in hiring someone is that they can do the job. But almost equally important is that they are not stealing, billing for work they don't do, sleeping on the job, not showing up at all, not loyal to the work they have to do.

trump now has an approval rating of 33% as of yesterdays polling. No president has ever had a lower rating as at this time of their presidency. trump has hired among the worst of the worst and the indictments yesterday was just the start.

trump has no loyalty to serving the citizens of the US, all the US. Creating laws, budgets, that will in fact turn the US around. Yesterday according to staff, insiders in the WH he himself used the term "hamstrung" to describe the investigation and indictments. Its a very accurate description and insightful as to his state of mind.

It was also reported that Bannon told trump yesterday that it was time for a scorched earth policy towards the Russia investigation. Fight it with every tool that the president has.
"It was clear from the beginning that Paul Manafort was problematic....Less than a month after his hiring, Bloomberg’s Eli Lake declared: “Trump just hired his next scandal.” How insightful a statement.

Be it Bannon, Manafort, or the other staff and appointments now gone in the first nine months of his presidency. The chickens are coming home to roost. They are bringing back a whole new batch of fleas to infect his administration.

This is supposed to be the week of tax reform. In order to get substantive amendments to the code through it needs to be sold to the electorate. Otherwise lobbyists will be the only parties out selling their interests. Once again trump has hobbled the republicans... er... hamstrung them and the republican agenda.

But trump was never about making America GREAT again. That was just a clever slogan to sell to those disenfranchised by politicians. The drip...drip...drip of a Chinese water torture is coming for America. As the Mueller investigation unfolds over the next year. No one should celebrate.
