***You can't even see that you are justifying a story that takes away time from real stories.

And you are defending a man who is taking his time and his staff's time away from real governance in order to perpetuate this story. Can't you see that?

Quote

It's not about what is good for the country, it's about you being right at all costs.

Fortunately for the country, the amount of time I spend discussing this topic has zero effect on it, good or bad. Unfortunately for the country, the amount of time Trump and his staff spend on it does have an effect. The extent to which Trump and his staff demonstrate that they are willing to brazenly lie to the American people does have an effect.

Once again I ask, why are you criticizing the wrong people?

Quote

So let's say I tell you your right? Then what? What prize do you win? How will it make things better? What knowledge will be gained that will better America? What Policy are you now wiser on?

Ummmm, ok. If you're saying those are the criteria for posting here now, let's apply the standard to you first. What are you gaining by wasting your time telling me I'm wrong?

Quote

Yet for some reason the media won't let it go. Your response is classic. "Trump keeps making it a story."

Again, it's relevant for two reasons. One, you're angry at the time being wasted on the story, so you should be angry at Trump. Two, you wrongly claimed that Trump didn't start or perpetuate the story, a direct response to that is justified.

Unless you're desperate for me to tell you that you're right... but what would that gain you?:D

Me personally, I couldn't give a rat's ass is the story is right or wrong, and i surely don't need your approval for anything.

But you clearly can't let it go. As I said, stories like this are catnip for the left. They can't let it go, and I for one am more than happy to let them keep going with it. Your going to respond to this post, aren't you?

He may not, but you can be sure Trump will keep responding.

You said it sucks, you said it's bad for the country, you said it has zero substance, you said it was an effort to de-lagitamize [sic] the presidency. I didn't say you cared about whether the story was right or wrong, I said you cared about the story. And clearly you do, otherwise (applying your own standard) why are you spending your time here moaning?

But, yet again (let's see how many time's you'll ignore this and hope no-one notices you don't have an answer) you're angry at the wrong people. Trump is allowing this story to distract him from governing, he's wasting his staff's time and other government officials' time on it, and he's destroying the credibility of the White House press office by pursuing his version of it.

and i surely don't need your approval for anything.

But you thought that was the only reason I'd be posting here. So, applying your own standard, it must be the only reason you're still posting here. Especially since your argument is so weak:|

Fixed it for truth.

Well duh, that's the whole point of internet forums:S Are you confused about that too?

You're not going to reply to my post, because you know your argument has no substance, is founded on hypocrisy and that you've run out of bluster to distract from that.
Do you want to have an ideagasm?

If you're saying that Trump is such a crap President already that it's better for him to distract the media by looking like a juvenile idiot on this issue than have them spend more time reporting what he's actually doing then I fully agree with you.:)

Ahh, so you were only trolling all this time. Ok. As sad as that is, at least you're not the kind of total moron who'd actually believe the argument you've been using in this thread.

You give to much credit to the media and not enough credit to Trump. They feed off of each other really. Mean while what other executive order was signed today?

Wait, so you do believe the shit you've been saying in this thread? Jeez dude, when you can't even decide whether you're trolling or not you've got some serious problems.

BTW, I notice that even though you've given up supporting any aspect of your position you're still here responding because you're so desperate for approval you just cannot bear to give out any indication that you know you're wrong. No wonder you're defending Trump.

Despite all your blowviating, it doesn't change the fact that the media posted the picture before Trump responded, and that there is nothing of substance about this story other than it validates your feelings. Sorry, but it's the truth.

Bullshit.

Trump commented prior to the inauguration how this event was going to be the yuuuuge.

Trump commented (lied) about how all the DC stores were out of dresses.

etc. etc. etc.

Trump made the size of the crowd at the inauguration a story long before the picture was posted.

The trouble with trump supporters is that they can't accept his personal stupidity. Nor admit that personal political ideology overrides ancillary political views of racism, religious bigotry, trumpisms.

I'd agree he(trump) is right on pipelines. Repatriation of US offshore corporate profits, reduction of US corporate taxes when combined with rationalization of the US tax code. Today the effective tax rates for US corporations are substantially below the stated rates due to byzantine tax codes.

Its always amusing to hear the left or the right talk about a centrist political position. Such a position is always relative to the predispositions of the country. Benoît Hamon is the French candidate for the left. He has proposed a tax on robots.

IMO a tax on robots is most idiotic idea in the history of mankind. These are industrial robots, not ones for home or personal use. Its no different than a job tax. The profits of a corporation are already taxed. Corporations are almost universally allowed to deduct capital improvements. But taxing robots, a capital improvement, will improve productivity. Thats really rocket surgery.

"Many Turks have been watching the first shocking days of the Trump administration unfold with one thing in mind – “welcome to our world!” Conspiracy. The blaming of outside forces (foreigners) for homeland problems. Attacks on the media. Religion used as a tool to divide with a liberal sprinkling of the word “terrorist”. Turkey has walked this path before.

It would be wise to consider Turkey’s spiral into authoritarianism as a warning for what could happen if the world doesn’t stand up to Trump. The things you’re scared of the US president doing, Erdogan has likely already implemented. These are egomaniacs more interested in their own power than the genuine furthering of their country – they are not people May can control with trade deals.

It’s easy to sit halfway across the world, read a few articles about Turkey and get busy all over comment sections – “wake up! Erdogan is a dictator” – but look at the US: this is how it begins. The slow creep of what is almost mind control. Divide and conquer....

We need to stand up against the vilification of the free press in the US now before it goes too far. Erdogan is no longer good for Turkey, just like Trump is no good for America. They are changing the identities of their countries. The irony that a possible Turkish accession to the EU was used as one of the key motivations for Brexit is likely to be a common theme throughout our moves towards leaving the EU. While turning away from these sorts of leaders can lead to isolation and further extremes, do we really have to be quite literally holding hands with them?

By staying silent, collaborating, inviting people like Trump for state visits, we are handing them more power. We are complicit, and it’s time our government stood up."

Breitbart clearly (and correctly) thinks its true believers are idiots.

Yesterday it not only published a clear false equivalence (aka a blatant lie), but it also used a picture of illegal Cubans in Costa Rica in November 2015 to illustrate the lie:

The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one.
