The press is butt hurt over Trump already

"As Trump leaves press behind for steak dinner, incoming Admin already showing lack of Transparency"

Seriously this is the title of the article. Basically Trump and family DIDNT inform the press where they were going.

I kind of like that Trump is willing to give them the finger a bit. The press was so in the tank fir Hillary.

A honest and non-partisan press is so important to our country but I fear we have lost that.

Trumps going to be different - he isn't a politician. I get the feeling that the establishment press is going to cover him as negatively as possible.

A fair press has been lost since the 70's.

Only now it is more exposed because of cable media, talk radio and the internet.

70% of people polled post election say the media is biased.

Like that is a surprise.

Hell, a good example is those here calling Bannon different names.
The media says it, it followers here and else where parrot it.

I had not heard of Bannon until the shit storm hit about him so I looked around a bit.

And now I know why the left is kicking up such a shit storm.
Bannon is a conservative. And the left and the media do not want conservative voices around the President because he mightt reduce their influence.

And 13% approve of the Republican controlled Congress (latest Gallup poll). Seems like the press is doing far better than the Republicans.

The point that if poll numbers are to be used to judge something, they can also be used to judge something else, seems to be pretty clear to me.

I'm confused, then. Are poll numbers a valid judgment point? Not a sole judgment, but a part?

You are not confused.
You just buy into the miss-direction that kallend is so good at.

We can start a thread and discuss this if you and he wish but it is irrelevant to this thread.

People who support him will feel that way for sure. He will be the most scrutinized and reported on POTUS ever. And that's saying a lot. But a man who craves the lime light as much as he has done has no business complaining about that now. Scandal and controversy has followed every President for a very long time. Except BHO, no scandals there.

The article title is just moronic. Lack of Transparency for not being told he's going to get a steak dinner? Really media, just GTFO. Even sadder is that there seems to be some legit complaints IN THE SAME ARTICLE, but the writer says steak dinner.

http://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2016-election/aas-trump-leaves-press-behind-steak-dinner-incoming-admin-already-n684511

How about the following instead (bolds are mine)?

"A week after the election, Trump hasn't yet held a press conference, the longest any recent president has waited to speak to the press"

"The media covering the president-elect have also not yet been offered briefings on his transition efforts, which was a typical practice for past presidents that allowed the public to keep apprised of the details of the new government.

And until recently, Trump's staff weren't releasing readouts of his calls with foreign leaders, leaving the press — and the public — to receive their guidance from foreign governments"

My only question: define "recent" and "past" presidents, timeframe speaking.

This.

He might even get to where he doesn't want to be in the limelight. And I hope he does take vacations sometimes. It's good to de-stress.
