Who will be the next POTUS?

WOW!

I am flabbergasted. I got my information from the MSM. Do you mean to say it cannot be trusted as factual?

That's right. Verify what you read or hear. Concept has been around for a while. It pre-dates the current reliance on truthiness.

When it comes to issues you don't agree with, you have no problem not believing the media.

The issue isn't the media, the issue is your selective willingness to look any further.

***Ah, so you have nothing but "mystery".

Man, you've really bit down hard. Hook, line, and sinker.

Pretty much.

I'm going to guess he is referring to the "large number" of "odd" deaths that seem to follow the Clintons around (Vince Foster is the most famous). Suicides, murders (like during "robberies"), strange accidents, lots of people associated with the Clintons have died under "mysterious" circumstances.

It all sounds nefarious and conspiratorial...

Until you look at the bigger picture.

Lots of people die strange deaths. And the Clintons associate with a lot of people.

So, taken as a whole, the number of odd deaths associated with the Clintons isn't too far from the norm.

But the conspiracists love it. In some ways, it's not too far from the wild speculation about the Sept 11, 2001 attacks. Lots of strange coincidences. Lots of weird stuff happened.
But, again, taken as a whole, it was just the way coincidence works.

There have been a lot of wingsuit BASE deaths this election year. Coincidence?

>The rest of your post is just more of that tiresome pettifog that I was referring to.
>You're just nit-picking and ignoring the point

Not ignoring the point at all.

Your point was that there is no chance that Sharia Law will take over here. I agree. You then went on to use the examples that Christians are not allowed to pray in schools or set up nativity scenes. Those statements are false.

I didn't feel the need to elaborate - that wasn't even the point I was trying to make. The reasonable people in this forum knew what I was referring to - so keep playing dumb, you're good at it.

billvon

Then you had a fit because your victimhood was being questioned. You're not a victim - get over it.

That's just a lie. I never said anything about being a victim. There is nothing to get over because I've never had a problem with the separation of Church and State. I simply don't want your slimy liberal politics polluting my faith.

Ya, see - now you're ignoring my post expressing that the separation of Church and State is a two-way street - just like Bill.

He says he's familiar with my posting history, yet ignores my posts that are right in front of his face in this very thread, just to start shit with me - just like you.

Liberal politics pretty much defines the message of Christ. The roots of the most liberal of organizations are usually found in a church of some sort. Neither your faith nor your mind is pure, but there is hope for you. You seem to be having a bad night tonight. I hope it's not that something bad has happened to you recently. Good night.
Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.

Hypocrite much?

Normiss:
"I was referring to bitch ex-girlfriend who was a right cunt"

"I'm sorry the rude cunt disliked my companies' plan, but I LOVE it"

"After a right cunt attacked me for my choices in healthcare and employment, I was pretty much over it."

"They need to arrest that stupid bitch"

There are just too many of your vile, curse-filled hatred posts to list - so here, knock yourself out:

shit, piss, fuck, cunt, cocksucker, motherfucker, and tits

normiss

which makes it pretty god damn difficult to discuss anything with you.

The majority of your posts are just lame one-liners - so I'd question your ability to actually have a discussion before blaming me.

Well, given that Jesus was a liberal progressive of his time who was executed by the conservative religious government he lived under - you're sorta stuck with the "slimy liberal socialist politics" of the New Testament polluting (in fact defining) Christianity.

"Judge not, that you be not judged. For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you."

"And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not perceive the plank in your own eye?"

"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God."

"Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them."

"He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.”

"But whoever has this world’s goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?"

He drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and the oxen, and poured out the changers’ money and overturned the tables. And He said to those who sold doves, “Take these things away! Do not make My Father’s house a house of merchandise!”

"And again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God."

"And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward."

"Woe to you also, lawyers! For you load men with burdens hard to bear, and you yourselves do not touch the burdens with one of your fingers."

And when Jesus went out He saw a great multitude; and He was moved with compassion for them, and healed their sick. When it was evening, His disciples came to Him, saying, “This is a deserted place, and the hour is already late. Send the multitudes away, that they may go into the villages and buy themselves food.” But Jesus said to them, “They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat.”

"Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels: for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink; I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.' I didn't say anything about socialism - you're projecting. You've always been more fiscally conservative than I have. It was you that recently had a crisis of conscience and had to change your view on minimum wage - good for you!

I'd rather just not have any slimy politics invading faith. Including looking the other way at financial corruption, looking the other way at maternal death increases because of a lack of prenatal care, aggressively being against homosexuality while looking the other way at Levitican "sins," and general exclusiveness as opposed to inclusiveness in churches.

Like you, I make a lot of comments from my own awareness. In other venues it is called conversation.

It amuses me that so many here are active players in the game Dr. Eric Berne called IGYYSOB.

I got you, you son of a bitch.

Do you see there is a difference between spiritual values and political principles?

Most Christians, at least the ones I associate with, understand the POTUS is not supposed to be the messiah. Progressive/Liberals cannot seem to differentiate between the concepts.

Again, this lack of ability to think in terms of concepts to transcend the trap of ego/linear thinking.

Trump believes in the American concept of free enterprise, ownership of personal property and defense of America to name a few concepts that I see in his presentation.

Hillary believes in more government control, the confiscation of personal property, the use of government for personal gain, the breakdown of our capitalistic system and the weakening of our defenses. That is some of what I see in her.

Trump is condemned for being brash and making some bad business deals. Hillary has a record of corrupt business deals. The most flagrant appears to be the Clinton Foundation.

Again from Dr. Hawkins, the mind cannot discern the difference between true and false. You have to transcend news factoids and become aware of the concepts to make an enlightened decision.

I guess a lot of folks are just not interested in enlightenment. It is a spiritual concept.

Keep in mind that not all churches are Christian. Not everyone regularly attending a Christian church are Christians. Only God knows a person's heart. A true Christian believer follows the path with heart not by intellect.

When a person surrenders ego and experiences Christ they are a new creature.

Which party, branch of government or government agency exhibits the most slimy politics. The one with elected and appointed officials.

For me this election is about preserving the freedom and liberty of the American way of life. I believe we have a greater opportunity for accomplishing that ideal with Trump.

IMO, those who support Hillary are saying that they can't handle life and want the government to assume their responsibilities or least more of them. They have lived in the shelter of mommy's house and now they want a bigger mommy.

Uhm, no. That could be a conversation. People can also have factual conversations. Like when you are amongst your friends and you don't have to speak in code words or hide the racism and bigotry.

What you call speaking from your own awareness is nothing more than believing what you want to believe and ignoring what you want to ignore. Surrounding yourself with nothing but people who think and act the same is not being aware; it is the opposite.

If God chooses, and not us, why do so many people feel the need and/or right to point the finger at what is and isn't Christian? There is a whole lot on interpretin' going on.

Bullshit.

Jesus was an Observant Jew, and the movement of Messianic Judaism was wholeheartedly conservative.

The 'New Testament' is an unauthorized sequel to texts to which we held the copyright, written under Roman editorial authority for a Roman audience, Romans being the people that killed him in the first place (if he was killed by Hebrews, he would have been stoned - crucifixion was strictly a Roman prerogative).

What is written in the Christian Scriptures bears as little resemblance to historical reality as Thomas Nast's version of Santa Claus does to Saint Nicholas of Myra.

Don't get me wrong, the Hebrew Scriptures constitute the tribal lore of one big and very dysfunctional family (much of which was coopted from the Babylonian under direction of Ezra the Scribe), but they are by no means a prequel to the dreck that is touted as an addendum, either by Rome or Mecca.

Ah yes, the beloved "our way is superior of your way" argument.

'Scarlett' is more valid a sequel to 'Gone With the Wind' than the Christian Scriptures are to the Hebrew.

This has nothing to do with whether one likes or dislikes, approves or disapproves of any of them.

One could absolutely despise everything about Margaret Mitchell and/or Alexandra Ripley and still dispute the continuity between the two works, and object to their being offered as a bound set.

I do not recall thinking one is better than the other, and generally am in awe at how seriously fucked up any of the texts are. My point is that the propensity to use an earlier work to validate a newer one does not always fly.

A case in point is 'The Book of Mormon,' which was supposedly 'translated' from hieroglyphics into English, but wound up in vernacular common only to the era when most common religious texts were translated.

Please don't attribute to me any sense of comparative goodness of one text or another, since I think it's all nonsense.
